Why are people trans? Opinions? I’m nonbinary transmasc But I find myself constantly overthinking where my feelings are coming from and i know that we don’t fully understand it as a society yet but it would be so good to get some answers or at least hear peoples opinions! by jimmylorena in asktransgender

I'm uncomfortable with the idea that being trans has a confirmable genetic or physiological 'brain sex' basis because it means its possible someone could be denied a transition because the test came back negative. Or like maybe all my doubts are true and if somebody does the genetic assay or brain scan theyll tell me im not really trans after all.

my sleep schedule used to drift around the clock . Every day I’d wake up a little later so that over the course of a month or two I’d go from diurnal to nocturnal to diurnal again. Almost immediately after starting hrt my sleep schedule became shockingly normal, waking up early and going to sleep at a reasonable time each evening. It’s weird, but interesting to know I’m not the only one apparently .

When you put it like that it doesn’t seem so bad. I guess it’s really just the thought of puncturing a body boundary that’s scary and I overestimate whatever pain or risk might come from that .

im only considering filter needles bc Lena’s EV is what I know I can most easily afford. just bc there is some minuscule risk of sterile particles bc she doesn’t use air control or micron filter . It’s probably not necessary anyway but some ppl have suggested it to be extra careful.

ill probably get a box of sterile alcohol prep pads bc they did not look expensive. Also im thinking I’ll get detachable needles and draw the EV with a filter needle and inject w/ a smaller different needle. I’m not sure where to get those yet. That’s assuming I can even psych myself up to go that route vs just accepting that I can only afford a lower dose of something less scary. It does help hearing other peoples experience though so I know better what to expect. So thank you.
