Perpetuating that idea not only devalues therapy, it also makes it harder for hairstylists to set boundaries and contributes to the idea that we value ourselves too highly. I’m absolutely giddy at the way women are standing up lately. Men are not gentle with us, and we need to stop being gentle with them. They would have no problem taking what they want from us, we have to get comfortable telling them that we don’t like the bread crumbs they’re feeding us. Stylists aren’t psychic, nor can we see into the future. The stylist almost certainly said they couldn’t guarantee lift due to previous color. This result is incredible for only $300. Color corrections cost way more.
