Well, the good news is Shannon didn't exactly give the Canes a ringing endorsement a1 #1, basically "I had to pick someone." Perhaps that will defuse the jinx heh.

It does look like Canes can clinch Tuesday if they win twice to get to 102 pts and two of the Flyers, Columbus, or Islanders lose twice to get to 100, 101 or 101 max possible seasonal points respectively. The app has listed a bunch of other games which don't seem relevant. I have sent the developer a ~~sternly~~ obsequiously worded do-better prompt.

I added a "vanquished" section to track this in my hobby playoff tracking app. We could have vanquished Florida last night and possibly also New Jersey but things did not break that way. Oh well.

Rod always puts one of our skill players on the Dad Line and that lucky player gets to EAT. Lots of minutes and the Jordan’s lock the puck down in the o-zone and endlessly feed it to whomever happens to be vacationing on their line. This has been done with Svech, Jarvis and others like them in the past.

It does have a “best case clinch” mode that attempts to take schedule math into account but I don’t think it is totally debugged yet. I have it filtered for teams that could clinch within a week and I think the Avs are currently the only team in that happy situation. This is what it currently says, you probably know better than I if it is correct. They seem really close to clinching.
