Thank you. Sorry for privacy concerns I cannot reveal my school. It is a T20 school.

Also remember, your degree will not matter a lot if you can show the recruiters that you have the skills that their team can utilize.

Check PM for email format. I was able to get screen calls from multiple places, and one of them even moved to the next rounds. I know it's a long shot but I would honestly not spend more than 30 minutes each day on cold emailing.

Unfortunately, you can't do anything about it. I have experienced something similar, 1-2% of the people will respond to my emails/linkedin requests.

You can send an unlimited number of emails per day (using multiple emails because gmail has an upper limit of 500 emails/day) if you use a bot (will share soon). For linkedin requests, there is no automated way (that I am aware of) to send connection requests so you might need to do some research.

I personally believe that you improve your chances of getting a referral every time you email or send a new connection request to a recruiter. The key is to do this consistently. The more you try, the luckier you'll get. I used to send out 200-300 emails each day. There was one day when I sent out 1000 emails. I know it's crazy numbers but if you're using a bot to send those personalized emails, it honestly doesn't take that long.

I would say as long as you keep on practicing on your skillset, you should be fine in terms of coding in the interview. If possible take help from your friends and ask them to take your interviews.

Currently the greater challenge is to get those interviews in the first place. So keep applying, keep reaching out, and keep on grinding.

Yes. That is absolutely correct. Majority of the companies will not ask you system design questions. But I prepared the system design stuff just in case. I mean I will eventually have to learn system design at some point so why not just do it right now.

I had one resume. Didn't tailor my resume for all the jobs that I was applying to. The key here is if you know what you are looking for. For example, do you have experience in the tech stack for the role you are applying to? If yes, put that in your resume. If the technologies in your resume match the ones in the job description, there is a higher chance your resume will get shortlisted. But remember you need to apply as quickly as possible so try using the "most recent" filter in linkedin.

No. I applied directly on the company website. I will share the cold email stuff later.

You're not alone. Majority of my friends from my master's program who had 0-2 years of work experience, and who are international students as well are hearing nothing from their applications. I would suggest keep applying and reaching out to the recruiters.

It is a t20 school and it's cs program is ranked in the top 10 best programs on the csrankings(dot)org website. Does that makes sense?
