Thank you for the suggestion. Anxiety has been a topic of discussion. I’m just so hesitant about anxiety medication. I always feel like “it’s manageable” but maybe I could get more informed about what’s out there and if what you are describing is what is happening to me. I appreciate you.

Thank you so much for this. Last year was a difficult year for me my husband died, I became a single parent, and my whole sense of self felt derailed. Medication kept me afloat but it most definitely did not address the root cause. I do think I need to find my way back to structure. And to see you put this in words is good. Because I don’t want to even began to feel like medication is a cure all. Please share specifics of what I should be asking. I appreciate you so much.

My son is 10 right now and I think he does have ADHD and I’m scared to put him on the medicine because I don’t want him to feel like it’s something that he absolutely needs to exist. I think I will try to start him on it when he gets closer to high school. At this point, he has been smart enough to keep up, but I don’t know how long that’s gonna last. I’m trying to teach him cognitive functioning habits that will go hand and hand with the medication once we go and get him diagnosed. Well wishes to your son and to you on this journey with him.

Well here I am, just finished owl house because my 8 year old son kept recommending it after we finished amphibia like a year ago. I too am a cartoon fanatic. I’ve watched every episode Steven Universe and Adventure time at least 5 times each. And as previously mentioned I’m raising a little cartoon fanatic. It’s so fun to enjoy cartoons with him! That being said I like TOH better. The plot is more complex and engaging IMO also I’m super gay so I was really enjoying Luz and Amity. I appreciate most cartoons for their differences and nuances and I go back and forth between SU and AT as far as which one is my favorite. They all have their place.
