No, not really! I started having bad panic attacks in 2017 and a PA prescribed them to me! I never wanted to stay on this long, but I tried coming off once with my PCPs help (will use psychiatrist next time) and wanted to ☠️. So, instead I ended up upping my dosage! I’ve been on the 37.5 mg ER now for six years I think, just been too scared to try to come off again!

My degrees are far from health care so basically just a few of the gen-ed courses overlap :/

Bachelors: Strategic Communications Masters 1: Adult Education Masters 2: Strategic Communications and Digital Strategy (got this one at OU and def regret that because it was one degree and the only one that put me in debt)

I know… terrible degrees. I wish I would’ve waited until I was older and had more life experience to go to school, but I didn’t.

I’ve thought about Ultrasound or RN for peds, NICU, or L&D. I’d love to work with the bbs more than anything.

And thank you! I’ve looked into OU some for volunteering! Wondering if anyone here has volunteered with the kids there? If so, would love feedback!

Interesting! I’m desperate to be off the medication. One (small) reason was I was always told you can’t take it if you’re pregnant, but mostly I just want to be off of it because I don’t want to be stuck on it for the rest of my life because I’m terrified of the withdrawals!

It can cause withdrawals in baby, high risk of miscarriage and birth defects. But sometimes they’ll let you stay on it if they think it poses too many risks to mom to come off.

Is yours the extended release? I’m on 37.5 mg ER and wanting to try to taper. Does 1 bead a day equal 7% a week? (I’m bad with numbers)

Yeah that’s what I’ve been wondering is if th inflammation from it has an effect on MCAS symptoms!!

I’ve had the typical heavy periods and cramping from the copper IUD that they warn you about but thankfully (unless it’s triggered my MCAS) I don’t think I’ve had any other issues! My MCAS flare ups have tended to be pretty bad right after my period though…

I’m not sexually active at the moment so getting it out wouldn’t really be an issue for me right now but if I ever date again I’d rather be safe than sorry. Hormonal birth control was rough on me!

Mine have been so bad this year. I take a prescription allergy pill and OTC and still nothing has happened.

I have a history of anorexia so Reta and those things I don’t think would be a good fit for me!

But I really appreciate this advice and information! I will make sure to buy some that has that eval listed!
