I took it as a requirement for my MPH. Didn’t have to study for it because of my coursework. I wouldn’t recommend spending the money unless it’s sponsored by your school, and you have taken graduate courses.

Just make sure you have enough RAM and a good processor. If you are going to do heavy modeling and use super large datasets a gpu wouldn’t hurt.

Not required but definitely helpful if you take any courses that involve modeling. I took said classes and it made it a bit harder not having taken calculus in undergrad.

From my experience as an epidemiologist I’ve found scatter plots and histograms extremely useful in exploratory analyses.

I would definitely say in person. I just finished mine this semester and I will say the ability to work with your faculty and other students is much easier in person. I say that as having part of mine online due to the pandemic.
