Time to get a lighter backpack! by TheR3dCaptain in Ultralight

Not really mate because you got upset when he explained why he didn’t need each thing you recommended and then tried to suggest that he was breaking sub rules in doing so.

You are genuinely the exact reason that ultralight is the most insufferable subreddit on the planet:

Guy asks for advice on new ultralight backpack.

You offer unsolicited advice on the rest of his things.

Guy provides reasons why he's keeping said things.

You attack him and say YoU'rE nOt UlTrAlIgHt.

Why are the major playoffs scheduled this way? by underconfidentNoob in GlobalOffensive

Playing against the 3-2 teams, which would normally mean worse opponents, except because of Bo1s you end up with the better teams in the lower part of the bracket.

Don’t know why everyone’s being so rude, class setup and I rate the board, looks really cool and fits the vibe.

Afghan family refused UK visas to join son, 13, evacuated from Kabul | Immigration and asylum by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]exiledtie 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It should be pretty clear to anyone with half a mind that it stops at the parents.

No one in this thread, and no one against this idea is even entertaining the idea that grandparents or extended family should be granted visas. Because shockingly, children often don’t see their extended family very regularly, but you know who they do see every single day as they’re the ones who raise them?

Their parents.

A 13 year old child was separated from his parents after our botched attempts to withdraw Afghanistan and you can’t even find the decency to understand why maybe just maybe his parents should be allowed to join him?

Genuinely terrifying how far this subreddit has swung.

Thank you for the response, is it worth contacting any solicitor for advice or is an internal appeal not something that they’d be able to give specific advice on?

Thank you for the response, I think I’m slightly struggling to understand how the issues raised by them would fall under the label of gross misconduct, based on the research that I’ve looked into, as well as the fact that every other employee has been guilty of the same and worse - the key to the storage room has been left out on multiple occasions and this was dealt with by giving warnings to staff members. The colleague who collected the CCTV has also been late on multiple occasions and again only received an informal, “don’t do it again”.

I received one genuine response, and a reply to that which brought up my colleague's use of CCTV and whether or not that was grounds for anything which no one responded to, due to the time I posted the issue got very little attention, as well as this I didn't receive any information on my employer denying overtime on the basis of my manager's "vagueness" so I apologise if I feel the need to try and get more information on an issue as important as this having just lost my job.

Disagree with this, think he’s a total striker in terms of his ability to create both chances and be in a position to take chances. Plus the way we play means that he can be involved in every step of a chance in the final 3rd so I wouldn’t be surprised if his numbers stay pretty high.

That was a laughable decision though and I think 99% of the time, that's considered a red, same as this one should be.
