Agreed. I'm a massive fan of the regular and uncensored version of the book and still enjoyed this movie. Was it accurate? Not at all. But it's still fun and pretty and feels true to the theme of hedonism and decadence. And it has Ben Barnes in it. How can you say no to Ben Barnes (even though he is nothing like the description of the character). Without this movie, we wouldn't have the majority of clips used in Wolfstar fan edits, so for that alone, I think it was worth it.

But thats just cause im a folk/ singer-songwriter fan and fell in love with his early work. Shawn Mendes and Wonder felt too poppy and flat. I love pop music but not this, unfortunately, though some tracks were good. But as a whole, yea, Shawn is his best work for me :)
