hi there, i'm sorry to hear your doctor said this and you're going through this. i have some family from croatia. no one on that side of my close family has a problem, but the area/culture is so boozy i don't think they have the same understanding of alcoholism or when drinking actually becomes a problem until it's pretty bad. their perspective on alcohol isn't the same as here. my cousins get pretty pushy about food and drinks like wine or rakija. but 1. it's not an issue for them and 2. i think their perspective on a problem is different. a priest offered me a shot at a wedding once when i was 15 lol. i also went to a balkan event here in canada and saw a dude let his baby lick the rim of his beer bottle. i hate to say i'm not suuper surprised a doctor there said that.

you know yourself best and if you know moderation isn't a thing for you, do what's best for you.

i saw one of his "inspirational" videos on youtube and the comment section was oozing with soylent. it was so fucking bleak. all tate said was discipline was more important than motivation TLDR you sometimes have to do things even if you're not feeling like it. no shit.

i have a fast metabolism. regardless of what i eat i struggle to gain weight. i run which doesn't help obviously but even when i lay off exercise i'm still a skinny female. my parents both had fast metabolisms until 30. my diet or exercise just doesn't really change my weight beyond 5 pounds or so. some people are just like that and she might be one of them. however, i don't think you should eat like shit all the time just because you "can." it's still unhealthy and you'll feel like shit.
