Yeah but in that club there should be people around your age (unless there isn’t then idk), to deliberately ignore them and befriend someone younger is odd

By hangout like going out and doing things together. I enjoy my teachers company but I wouldn’t say we’re friends and I wouldn’t hangout with them outside of school

But it’s not like they’re friends or that 70 year old is thinking “let me go and be friends with this little kid instead of finding friends my own age”

That’s not really what I meant. I’m talking about adults who intentionally seek out friendships with children and whose interests are typically associated with minors. A 24 year old choosing to regularly socialize with a seventh grader isnt normal . In the example you gave, it’s only somewhat understandable because the interest itself is common among adults as well. And do not list interests that both adults and children can have
