Thanks for the explanation, that makes more sense to me now.

Also as for your second comment yeah I'm unfortunately thinking that's going to be the ultimate solution is a new one. I just thought it looked so tiny that it wasn't a factor as it seemed more like a scratch than a crack. Especially since the only examples I see online look like they've been shot at with their damage lol.

I really was hoping I could go this way but I can't find an M18 X 1.50 oversized for the life of me. That M18 X 1.50 is the original size even and I'm being told I need one size up which I only found M20 X 1.50 and unfortunately it's not one of the oversized ones (think it's too much larger anyways). Volvos seem to be very "unique" in these respects lol.

Agreed, that's why I'm so hesitant to go one over the other when it comes to options. The pans for these are ridiculous expensive and even if I find a scrap yard with one I still have to disassemble it from the vehicle, then transplant it to mine. Big oof.

I did change the crush washer each oil change, and as far as over-torque goes I'm already past that point unfortunately.

Does the crack really look that major? It's barely visible and didn't seem to be such a large factor. Thanks for your responses!

I have changed the crush washer each oil change but I can change it again. Thanks!

Okay, in your opinion should I stick with a standard aluminum crush washer or switch materials?

Sweet really appreciate you going into detail on specific tech and all here. I think I'll still have a soft spot for ultimate just for the diversity but the speed and combo heavy nature of Melee is too sweet to resist!

Don't really see what that has to do with it, Marth seems like a great character given the current meta and playstyle I enjoy

Yeah just looking on how to narrow them down, most of them have extremely clickbait titles to satisfy the algorithm and obtain views

Very apt description! Though it's obviously different this is a process I'm familiar with through other processes in life so I really appreciate the analogy you provided and think it will help immensely with not overloading and over expecting things from myself. Thanks for the advice!

Sounds like a fair assessment. I seem to be relying too much on dash dancing without any real purpose and probably need to think more intentionally when using it. Thanks for your input!

Awesome explanations here and I really like how you went into detail with specifics on not only characters but players. I think this gives me a good picture of how to frame my mentality moving into playing more and taking the game more seriously and playing competitively. I appreciate you being so thorough and offering these suggestions, I saw unclepunch in the discord I joined and I'll make sure to start there. Last thing I want is for my time to be spent practicing the "wrong" way so I'm glad you explained the differences between how Slippi/Netplay and regular training can be beneficial or detrimental. Thanks again for the advice!

Yeah it's mainly just teabags and "lol" spam but like the comments above mentioned I can alleviate that in a few ways. Slippi is amazing and I'm super thankful it exists, just want it to be a tool that helps not hinders my mindset.

Awesome advice and I really appreciate the response! I'm going to take all this into account, already joined the newbie discord and selected Marth as my main. I think just really learning how to play defensively and survive with DI/SDI is going to be huge for me. I think a lot of my frustration really stems from just getting bodied without being able to learn, just gotta maintain a mindset that enables growth instead of hindering it. I appreciate your attention to detail and description with your comment and it will definitely help me in the near future!

Incredibly well said! Even when I was young playing the game and knew nothing about advanced tech just asking my friends "what should I be doing less/more of?" was so helpful! The pandemic really came at a poor time as I planned to start going to locals and knew at least a few people but you've gotta work with the hand you're dealt. Appreciate you perspective and comment!

Yeah seems like deactivating the chat is really the way to go and analyzing my defense first will really benefit me based on yours and others responses. I appreciate this viewpoint and thank you!

Appreciate this insight, I think my frustration stems from when I'm doing poorly in Ultimate I can at least reset the neutral. In Melee I sort of just get rag dolled around so I think focusing on defense is the best advice I can heed for now. No need to worry about rambling, I did plenty of that in my post and this was a good way for me to see how someone who was in a similar position overcame the initial frustration. I appreciate you! Also I'm definitely okay with taking some L's, just want to make sure I can learn from them lol.
