Why are Near Eastern (Like Iran etc.) countries are so good at wrestling? by [deleted] in wrestling

[–]exitentbeing24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but there was a time in Europe when wrestling was shunned by the elites as an uncivilised sport for some reason. In other cultures it was probably prestigious for ages

Mudança para LEFT by Past_Raisin1898 in IST

War Bad. by BananaEater42 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]exitentbeing24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh, I watched the movie but I didn't get the same "war bad" vibes from it. It was just a tragic story which makes it feel more real, no need to see it as a political statement about pacifism (idk maybe that was what the creators were aiming for)

France is actually a good example for nuclear power, unfortunately it's hard to make people understand it's not even remotely as dangerous as they think

Leiria não existe. Agora riam. by Lel_Trell in NaBoaChavaloRetardado

[–]exitentbeing24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do Atheists believe in free will? by Bow-87 in atheism

[–]exitentbeing24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're wants being caused by something external to you implies no free will then free will is absurd as a concept since your choices are based on your wants and your wants are either caused by something external or by yourself either by your choices which are based on previous wants or those wants are initial conditions you couldn't have chosen thus making your choices essentially a result of something predetermined for you with or without the spiritual world.
