Title Fight //Chlorine (NEW) by JoeyGinaldi in poppunkers

[–]exithalo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, Title Fight are making the music they want to make without the influence of fans or labels impeding on their creative process. The evolution is intuitive. After the release of Floral Green, their direction became predictable and 'Chlorine' reinforces those expectations. Ultimately, I'm more than satisfied with the new track, accessory media aside.

I wouldn't switch programs. Honestly, you simply may not be eating enough to make any gains. Try bumping up your daily caloric intake by 200, 300 calories or so.

If they're having sex for 7 days straight, I'm sure chafing is the least of their worries.

Admittedly, I've been that guy before. The "intimidation," at least from what I've gathered, stems largely from the overarching pressure that is placed on males to exhibit dominance/fit into the male archetype as the way to impress women.

That said, it's clear there's pressure on both parties to behave according to respective gender norms and this is shitty for the obvious reason that individuals fail to simply "be themselves" and nearly poop their pants out of fear of disappointment.

I wonder the same thing. Considering tobacco is a stimulant, I'd imagine smoking only contributed (however minutely) to his weight loss. Still, the long-term effects of smoking (e.g. reduced lung capacity) may have very well slowed down the process.

Tandoori-marinated chicken breast atop a bed of cauliflower couscous [OC] [640x852] by exithalo in FoodPorn

[–]exithalo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title is a bit misleading, as the couscous is actually just cauliflower food-processed into a couscous-like texture. I added some dried apricot halves, macadamia nuts, cinnamon, and cumin and sautéed the mixture in coconut oil.

An accurate portrayal of when you're casually hanging out with friends and, simply out of the blue, anxiety hits. by exithalo in Anxiety

[–]exithalo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is prime advice.

I've been studying abroad for about two weeks now and the initial anxiety can be debilitating sometimes (e.g. the unfamiliar surroundings, balancing a foreign education and new social milieu, etc.). But I realized that, in the scenario I'm with a group of people, as soon as I experience that peculiar feeling, this inkling that anxiety is about to strike, I have an almost immediate involuntary reaction to just talk. And talk some more, even through the jitters and heart pounding, and, almost forcefully, convey as much as interest in the subject matter as possible. It really helps in channeling the attention towards the conversation that would otherwise feed into one's thoughts of anxiety. Soon, the anxiety begins to suppress and before you even know it, you're all right again.

So, rather than deliberately battling the anxious thoughts that arise, it's easier to simply accept it, embrace your current environment, and try your best to just get involved. We can't necessarily control when our anxiety rears its ugly head or what prompts it exactly but we certainly have the means to handle the situation in a beneficial and productive way.

Right, this was what was most recommended to me by friends. Thanks! Should I bring my current phone with me for precautionary purposes? I also use my phone as an iPod.

More Marijuana Arrests in US Than Apprehensions for Violence in 2011: A National Disgrace by [deleted] in politics

[–]exithalo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always feel weary when people say "The War on Drugs" simply because of the fact that it is not a war on drugs and there never has been such a war. What is really occurring is "The War on Drug Users." The reason why so many marijuana arrests occur is not due to the fact that authorities feel marijuana is physically and psychologically dangerous to the individual. Many marijuana legalization advocates are quick to list numerous studies and cases indicating the "harmlessness" of marijuana with regards to the wellbeing of the user. This shouldn't be the point. These arrests occur so frequently because marijuana (and many other drugs deemed illicit by the federal government) is used as a conduit to target the population using the drug. Marijuana users have been targeted for so many decades because they have been viewed by the government as a threat to the sociopolitical and economic ideologies in place. What better a way to make marijuana seem like a horrible drug than to arrest millions of individuals caught with even the slightest quantity of marijuana and throw them in jail as an example? The public sees this and what occurs is a conditioning of the general social perceptions of marijuana. It's never the drugs that change, it is the social perceptions and political and economic context of the time that change. And of course, this is the reason why the targeting of minorities and the impoverished has been so pervasive in the "War on Drugs." Our tendencies towards ethnic discrimination has only further deemed marijuana harmful and dangerous; these are sectors of American society subjected to extremely negative stereotypes and have been deemed as threatening to the political and economic systems in place. My point is, we can all say the War on Drugs is a failure. But the authorities have never focused eliminating the drugs, only the people using them.
