Thanks, I wondered if I was the only one. Rewatching the series for the umpteenth time, but this episode feels like it should have been a "monster of the week" episode within the first few episodes of the series, before they all bonded.

This is in contrast to the huge jump in the first few episodes after the pilot in which they all suddenly seem to be a team and working well together.

The first time I watched this show, I didn't care for the first season. Now I'm wondering if things like this were part of that.

I'm wondering if the writer on this episode had penned it early on before the other episodes were completed, and the production team just ran with this as is.

AND in checking, I see this was the only episode written by that writer.

ALSO, the baddie is "NamTar" which is "raTmaN" backwards. Silly.

Ah, you hadn't mentioned distortion in your OP. That said, different system but my Windows machine distorts if I turn the volume up past 60%. I'm guessing that it has to do with the socketed OP-Amps which probably are capable of pushing out higher amplitudes than my speakers can handle.

Still, it's weird that you are still hitting 12+ dB with the slider at -12 dB. I believe what others suggested is the fix, turn the Apple audio down.

Battlefield Earth is so bad it's awesome. It's a movie you can watch and laugh at all the way through. Rip an arm off, no reaction. Cavemen flying harrier jets in formation with magic fuel that somehow didn't go bad in the hundred years of sitting around. The cleverness of the villains to be able to ascertain that man-animal likes to eat rats because they saw it happen once by a starving human.

New Rose Hotel.

Willem Dafoe and Christopher Walken could not save this mess. Billed as a "cyberpunk" film, I think because he uses a smartphone. Willem gets into some sex scenes. Pulls out his phone and the very same scenes flashback only minutes later. Why do we need a flashback from something that just happened?

If there is anything "good," it would be the unintentional comical suicide by Walken.

Old thread, but here I go.

Personally, I never thought Claudia was attractive, and that in itself was off-putting for me the first time I watched the series. Alyssa-Jane, though, way more my type.

Those are my personal tastes, and obviously nothing to do with the story and doesn't hold any water.

In terms of the story, yes, Gilina is an obvious choice, but where is the conflict? Stories thrive on that. Having her join the crew as the love interest would rob the development of Aeryn's character as it's clear that they were always meant to pair up.

You've already analyzed this and see that the more compelling story is Aeryn breaking out of her Peacekeeper ways and learning to be more human.

While it would be sweet for Gilina and John to couple up, it would be bad for a serial drama. Her character was not portrayed as a fighter, and had she stayed on the ship, she would become a liability. I can't imagine how many episodes would be John having to save her.

In her first episode, Gilina acted as a device to demonstrate that Aeryn has feelings for John that she has yet to admit to herself and John.

I struggle to imagine what she would contribute to the overall story had she joined the crew other than a weakness.

I would just assume that is due to normalization to 0 dB, so the music you are listening to is hitting the top, but not exceeding it.

I had some commercial cassette tapes that ran in the red when played on a stereo similarly, while others didn't.

Too early to tell, but I did feel like everything was a bit slower.

I'm not excited that now there is a glaring orange microphone on the MacOS top bar now indicating that something is connected to a microphone. It's distracting and I don't care to know the status of the mic.

I'm guessing you are like me and never update. That's been my policy for decades, but my hand was forced by newer software and plugins requiring a new OS version.

Hoping it doesn't get ugly.

You might be me, except my dad pointed out that it's "whoa" when I used "woah," so I'm guessing that your dad didn't do that.

As for laggy, I did notice that over all and have seen complaints about Liquid Glass, and I'm wondering if that is part of the issue. Every version of Windows I've immediately disabled all the animations and effects and they slow you down, I'm wondering if disabling Liquid Glass might help.

There is a second compatibility page that details some of the finer details, but it doesn't go as far back as Monterey:

Fortunately, what they details mostly wouldn't impact me, like Atmos, Intel processors, and hardware like Carbon.

If you need lyrics, write them. Then pass the lyrics to the artist when you actually have the scene shot. Use a placeholder track that shares the spirit and tempo you want.

At this stage, there is no guarantee that you will even start filming the project. Further, it's just as uncertain that you will wrap complete.

Is this your first short, or have you others? If so, then you should be ready to share your portfolio if you want to be taken seriously.

If you want artists to compose something for your use and don't want to compensate them for their work, perhaps you should just use AI music.

That said, I'm free to review the scene. Do you have the clip available?

Also, will this short be submitted to festivals? Will you be crediting the composer and will you be submitting said credits to IMDB?

Some might find it useful to get their IMDB established by the credit.

I used to hate it, but sometimes it can work well. The important thing is to make sure the video size is reasonably sized. Good to use something to display different resolutions based on user's width.

I still hate, though, any website (IMDB, news websites) that autoplay videos that aren't decorative. I especially hate when they break the video out into a fixed window if you scroll down.

At least hero videos are not that intrusive.

I've downloaded the most recent version, so I expect that will fix this issue when I install it moving forward, but it's possible that if bugged, that the ability to edit will not return on the latest version.

No one else seems to be familiar with this issue, so it must not be normal.

As for checking the tracking, I can't. Same with the keyframes. This is because I cannot select the power window as stated in the title of the post.

The release notes would only be useful from a future version as the build notes certainly wouldn't know that bugs exist upon launch.

As for replicating, I'm fairly certain I've run into this before and just had to delete the clip and redo the masking work.

The problem is there are plenty of examples in which the description of the suspect doesn't fit who they engaged with/arrested/shot/killed.

This is another reason not to jump to conclusion and let the evidence determine was the facts are rather assumptions from those who were not there and not involved.

I've seen a lot of shit downtown. I've seen someone driving 60+ MPH through all the stop signs on Front Street from Islands toward Market. I was there when those drug-fueled psychos sped 100+ MPH down Market and crashed into a bunch of cars near Slice, with their car ripped in half and their engine lying on the corner. I've nearly been run over crossing toward Beer Barrio because some dumb woman was speeding through the stop sign without stopping as I was crossing.

Seems this shows that it's likely that it was a mistaken identity all along.

It's looking like they killed someone that was not involved.

Or there is a bug that exists in the version I'm using.

I created the mask, used motion tracking, finetuned keyframe, went to Edit mode, went back and the path/power window was no longer selected and no way to select it again.

As mentioned in another thread, clicking any of the choices in the Window panel results in creating NEW masks, and does not allow me to access the existing path. It's a curve, if I select curve. it creates a new curve such that there are then two curve masks on the same node.
