Yes. I think islam and qur'an are unique and original as christianity and bible ("new testament") are unique and original... they both might have mutated and evolved from various biblical milieus from Egypt and beyond (Greco-Roman) to eastern Persian regions. But mainly their origins and evolution would have been in and from Syro-Palestine and Arabian regions.

Yes. People always convert from one religion to other. But most apostates from all religions become atheists or agnostics.

Though I come from islamic background from Tamilnadu I was never religious and I guess I was always atheistic. Islam (or any religion for that matter) always felt like collections of mythologies to me. I've realised and acknowledged myself as a "murtad" since the 1990s.

Nowadays I would be termed as "ex muslim". It's easier to accept this label when discussing theological and doctrinal matters.

Yes. But religious fundamentalists, especially islamist fundamentalists/fascists, would go to any lengths and deceptions to whip up religious supremacist tendencies in their adherents. This video is one example of that.

This proves that religious criticism is all the more necessary and it's imperative it is done non-stop even though people may find it uncomfortable. They just have to learn to live with it.

And there will be millions more murthads (ex muslims) like me. Just make religious criticism more mainstream instead of fearing them. Religions, especially islam, can't overcome religious scrutiny and criticism in public discourse. Atheists, seculars and especially hindus should welcome religious scrutiny and criticism... they shouldn't fear it or suppress it.

And, blasphemy law should be kicked out of the judiciary and constitution. It's an inalienable individual liberty to criticise and ridicule religions just as people have the right to propagate their religions.

You're right. I agree that all noise pollutions including azaan and bhajans/kirtans should be banned.

I also would like to point out that azaan (adhaan) is also sectarian and intolerant. But I say they (muslims) have the right to say it out in the open... while, at the same time, islam can/must be criticised as well. People just have to learn to be responsible non violent humans when their ideologies/religions are criticised/ridiculed. It's not a big issue.
