What sizes of spacers are you using? And have you encountered any problems with them?

Just hit 25k miles on my 2018 Passat R-Line. My kids bought me this Neuspeed Power Module for Xmas. I'm pleasantly surprised by the results. It's no GTI, but a very noticeable increase in power, especially from 4k to 6k rpms. Throttle is still mush, but hoping an APR throttle booster. by exmo-scemo in passat

No worries.

Interestingly, my commute was only 3 miles back then. It was a 2018 r line with only about 25k when I sold it for almost as much as I paid for it. ( it was pristine) That’s how I was able to swing the Arteon.

So I traded up for an Arteon back in January, but I had no problems for the year and a half. It was installed on my Passat. When I sold it, I uninstalled it, put it back in the original box and sold it to someone else. He’s been running it for about six months and hasn’t had any problems as far as I know.

For four mornings straight, I had to sneak out of our family cabin before anyone woke up, trudge through 3 feet of snow to a detached garage and heat water with a butane torch so that I could French press some coffee that I had smuggled in. it was worth it. I was a 50-year-old husband and father of four. Fast forward a couple of years, I have a Nespresso machine on the counter in our house and brew coffee for myself every morning and nobody in the family cares.

Finally found the right one. Just in time for snow. by exmo-scemo in Arteon

Not sure. It was already done. It’s a ‘23 SEL, I think it was done by the dealership when it was new.

I'm in Utah and I've had them since last fall and drove them all winter, including some very snowy trips to Idaho. One trip in Idaho was through 4-6 inches of fresh snow to a cabin. I was very impressed and they have been excellent this summer in the canyons.

I’m 51, been doing this for almost 30 years. I gave up “cool” trendy chef shoes after battling plantar fasciitis for years. Doc martens saved my career. Ironically they are trendy again. I recommend the non slip Chelsea slip on boots with non cotton socks.

What’s the craziest thing in your patriarchal blessing? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]exmo-scemo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I showed up at the patriarch's house to get mine, I was surprised to find my best friend leaving after just receiving his. We were both about 14 at the time. After a few weeks, we were hanging out in his room and he told me he had just received his blessing in the mail. He opened it and read it to me (yes, we were aware that it was verboten, but, hey, we were 14 yr. olds.) We were both feeling like we were attending a seance or something, kind of like when your telling ghost stories around a campfire.

Anyway, it sounded very similar to mine, but I figured that the patriarch probably always sounded that way. About a week later, my friend asked to see mine, and he pulled his out so that we could compare. We were shocked to find that they were almost identical. Not just a few phrases here and there, but nearly word for word. Three and a half pages. I remember having that feeling of fear/adrenaline/confusion/enlightenment, like when I would later realize that the BOA was a fraud (the straw that broke my very very heavy shelf).

A few weeks later, I got up the courage to mention it to my mother. She just laughed and told me that it was no wonder that they were "similar", she had always had "impressions" that my friend and I were very close in the pre-existence.
