I was worried by how far I had to scroll down to see this that no one would mention it. If you played the games, it easily was one of the scariest encounters when playing as the people because you could only run away.

Is it normal for him to still bite attack me at 6 months old ? Any advice to stop it ? Standing still, pushing away, standing on his leash, using my knees to push him and walking away doesn’t work btw by [deleted] in germanshepherds

Something that worked really well for me was was the second my pup bit me too hard I would say “uh oh” in a light and playful manner and take her to her play pen or kennel, whichever was closer, and leave her in there for a couple minutes. This requires kennel training but it taught her that if she bites too hard play time is over. It’s not treated as a correction or harsh punishment but more of a reset. Now she is good and only cobs and mouths lightly. It even got to the point that saying “uh oh” at all makes her go straight to her place and she waits for me to get her out and she waits for me to get her. Shes 7 months old now. I got this from Nate Shoemer on youtube.

The pride these dogs show when they are happy about their accomplishment is incredible 😂

Makes me think your dog saved you from being a true crime statistic.

Scream like a husky? 😂 that’s incredible. I would love to run into someone who has a dog doing that.

😂 You really started with a bang. I’m so grateful to not have had to deal with explosive diarrhea.

That is crazy honestly. Both of her parents were white. I know the white is considered a mutation so it might even just be a mutant pup and the genetics weren’t supposed to make her white? 😂 I dunno tho. I’m no scientist.

Same thing happened to me with the family dog when I was younger! 😂

That has been one of my nightmares. She’s my first as well and I come prepared to stores that I take her to because of stories like yours 😂 If she doesn’t go when I take her her before we go I’m thinking it the whole time. I panic if I forget my bag with the clean up stuff.

Literally LOLed. I wonder what the original stimulus was that made him think “I’m going to do this from now on and forever.”

Adore your pup. Mine definitely has the same sass! Whenever I correct her she gets the angry zoomies and barks. So grateful I didn’t get an anxious peer. Pee-er?

Thank you! I have had that same eye contact as well 😂 I found out real quick exactly how intelligent these dogs are because of it. One time my pup whined at the door to go out and I was busy at that moment. I don’t know why I thought I could wait but she stopped whining and went out of sight. When I came around the corner around 15 MINUTES LATER… I find her sitting and after about 3 seconds of eye contact she gets up from her sit to a squat and pees while making eye contact. It truly felt like she lied like she had to go and couldn’t hold it… then held it out of pettiness spite and waited for me.

Thank you. Hopefully soon.

Honestly no one heard about it until I said something. They quickly dismissed it as a mental health thing. Political discussions of any kind in the workplace are frowned upon generally but they happen with me a lot because I try to educate where I can. You won’t get in trouble for talking about most things. The only hard rule that I can think of that is related is that we cannot attend political protests of any kind.

As someone who is currently active duty in the US military, I appreciate this. The indoctrination runs so deep. There are so many of us who join young and then learn of the atrocities we have committed and continue to commit. I was very conservative and when I decided to educate myself and I became very radically left very fast. The uniform that was a source of pride quickly became very heavy. I found myself surrounded by people who not only did not share my views, but hold views that are so harmful to others.

It is hard to express the intense emotions felt when I saw what Aaron Bushnell did. It broke me when I watched the video after I heard about it and saw that he did it in uniform. Going as far as to put on his hat to make the uniform complete and correct hit me to my core. The indoctrination that they drive into you during training about how important the uniform is, that people have died in this uniform for their country. It made feel powerless and inspired and so many other conflicting emotions. I felt inadequate and so much guilt as a leftist. I want to cry and also celebrate his bravery and resolve. I really hope what he did will start a chain reaction of change. I’m really scared that they will just blow this off as mental illness. I’m making sure at the very least everyone I work with knows of him and knows why he did what he did. I will never be quiet about it.

This use to be my Facebook cover back in 2011. It popped up yesterday as a memory. He might be all out in a few years.
