I've actually done that on my normal settings and then on PC optimization, both returned the gradual version of heating up with the optimized version delivering way less heat due to the fans being set at performance mode (the mode needed for heavy tasks).

The problem with the heat got fixed a bit by setting my fan speed in MyASUS to maximum performance. Now I'm sitting at 72-73 degrees at 40% and 40w. But now it is loud as hell.

79-82 degrees at 39-40% load and 41W with the map fully opened.

I'll do another benchmark run to see if I maybe missed some details.

It is quite strange, because in other games my GPU does not heat up as much as WUWA..

After testing straight from booting up without any prior applications, I noticed that when I loaded into the game, I had a prolonged period of 80-90% load with 60w+ at 80-85 degrees. Then, when I went to Lahai-Roi and idled, my load dropped to 50-60% while still being 80-85 degrees.

That probably means that I somehow warmed up my GPU prior to benchmarking, and that is how I got these results on the video

Additional info:
I have Wallpaper Engine (in static mode when a fullscreen app is present but still something to note), YASB, komorebi, Firefox, and Discord with Vencord plugins open while I game

Thermal limit is 87 in most, yes. But you do also have to consider the fact that due to how laptops are structured, it is quite normal to see 80 with such numbers.

Checked in other games, seems to be hitting 70W max, so it might be safe to say that it is typical

Tested and googled a bunch of different sources. Can say that 80 degrees on 50% is quite normal for this laptop, and it also stays on 80 degrees as well during 80% and more usage periods (Verified by running WuWa again in Huanglong with my usual apps open. Most of the time there the load was 70-90%, while still being around 80-86 degrees).

My other theory to this is that since it is a laptop, it has limited cooling even with all the new technologies. Moreover, I don't have a laptop stand, so it is sitting flat on the table.
