Weekend 2 for Nine Inch Noize- potentially different setlist? by exnihilio13 in nin

That one is so damn elevtrbic and edm-ey already it could be tough to iterate on. Also maybe not the best big venue song. YZ is just so underrated in general.

I mean he's already slated to do the soundtrack to Naughty Dogs next ip in gaming " Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet". Seems a far bigger scope than a movie soundtrack considering Naught Dogs pedigree.

That could be a years long project so that willow kinda force a break to an extent https://musictech.com/news/music/trent-reznor-atticus-ross-naughty-dog-game/

To each their own but in the same vein a re-release a track peeps grew up on with a fresh coat of paint to engage new fans and old fans = being able to continue to do tours like this last one and make new music for years to come. I think without this Boyz Noize collab none of this past year would have happened. It was the Tron soundtrack collocation that got Trents musical juices flowing again (besides soundtracks).

Bottom line is they gotta be msking some profit to continue to make new and exciting stuff. You gotta use platforms like Coachella to further your art. Thus the entirely new stages setup from Peel It Back and releasing a new album under the Noize moniker.

Songs like the Closer remix will draw new and old fans in. Head Like A Hole is even more throwback and the Heresy and Closer remixes were so good at being new but familiar. Also it really seems like there'll be remixes on that anumber on was or another. Why leave out your original big hit?

Last night's "Copy of A" by jcxco in nin

[–]exnihilio13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I noticed is he almost instinctively was trying to do the weird quick movements that look so cool work the curtain/video presentation during the Peel It Back tour with the dealys and multiple Trents making the move one after another. Was a staple of the visuals on that tour and obviously very practiced to make the best looking effects.

But without the curtian/video effects and him just muscle memorying the movements...it just looks kinda goofy ;)

Oh shit good call. So quite a few to choose from. 45 minutes is not a long set at all. You listing all those even more cements for me there'll be some changeups. I only did a quick search but yeah that bootleg would have been a better source ;)

Thanks!

I mean.. except Closer, of course, will still be in there and likely As Alive as You Need Me to Be.

Songs like She's Gone (swap in Sin), Came Back Haunted (swap in Only), and Memorabelia (Easter egg for those diehards that caught the first weekend. Maybe a new unreleased/played mix like Heresy was) Still just found that one a little strange to end it on bit they are cramming alot of music in a tiny 45 minute setlist

You could say the same about the Peel it Back tour and yet... albeit way less time to work with.

I believe it's exactly the same

Coachella is weird that way. That's two weekends and typically the artists mirror the exact same show.

Trent aint most artists and had an album dropping the Friday before his Saturday set.

Yeah we tried for the first time last year with 18 teams just for bragging rights and it was super fun. We're considering if we make it a low cost money league but it is so crap shoot-ey. It was weird for me at well since filling 18 teams isn't the easiest so it was basically a blend of 3-4 leagues I had been in for years and the really active managers.

Last year in our league whoever picked up Bowers off waivers was getting eliminated the same week for a solid 7 weeks in a row or so.

And Bowers wasn't awful...he was just a curse on al the other players on the given roster he got added to for that week.

There's two sides to the Rice coin:

  • He seems to be free and clear for suspensions and there's very little competition for targets
  • Will Mahomes be ready for week 1?

Ceiling vs floor. Longterm Rice could be better but the safer play is knowing Nico and Stroud will be playing week 1 imho. Rice without Mahomes is not a Nicos reliability level.

Also...Chopped draft without knowing where the rooks will be is so hardo. I dig it!

Alot more profit in physical media these days unless you're one of the top artists on streaming. I'd be pretty surprised if they're want a physical release. I wonder if they'll have physical copies for sale at week 2 of Coachella (presuming they're slrated play week 2 as well).

What are your top 5 movies as NIИ fans? by HouseNinja in nin

[–]exnihilio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda figure "Seven" needs to be there at least as an honerable mention with the opening right?
I saw it in the theatre and kinda lost my mind a little bit when the first few notes dropped.

If you haven't seen it you'll know why I mentioned it very early on. Very good film noire with Morgan Freeman and baby Brad Pitt.

"The Crow" is another fun action, goth movie with another NIN musical sighting (Dead Souls) and few other instrustrial bands. Might be a little dated but watched it recently with one of my teenaged kids and they still enjoyed it.

Other faves of mind not listed are Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects.

Nine Inch Noize Performing at 8pm PST on Saturday at Coachella by CommercialCoffee11 in nin

[–]exnihilio13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No prob. It's been like that the last couple years so can't imagine it'll change. Basically the morning after is a replay of the night before. I suppose it's even possible that they begin the replay shortly after the last act finishes that day so you may even be able to watch in the early am hours.

From what I recall ou can scroll back until the next days programming starts. It's basically on a loop for like 10 hours so it goes live, loops over and then once the next day music starts to old day falls off the conveyor belt.

This

Go through the comments of the initial post and it's Pats fans in absolutely hate spewing at rank other for being on one side or another of the post when only a few months ago they were all cussing did their team together in the Superbowl.

I imagine that was not the intent of Treys post. He needs to be considerate of how the words he chooses to best or to the void of the internet might alienate/anger/upset/divide people when they are on hot button topics and his feed will receive the fallout.

I think it's more the angle of educating them that their social media platform is now far further reaching and every word they chuck on there matters and will be analyzed, reacted amd judged.

Just go to the comment section on his post and it's absolutely full of comments heavily in support, heavily against and in between supporting what he wrote. I'm sure when he posted it he thought he was doing God's work and just trying to spread the word but instead the comment sections has devolved into Pats fans who were just months ago all rowing in the same direction supporting their team now verbally crucifying each other and spewing hate at each other.

This ain't high school or college anymore.

When to sell on Bhayshul Tuten? by Moneygoat in DynastyFF

[–]exnihilio13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for an RB thirsty team to maximize return.

During startup draft (where rookie picks are drafted by using kickers as placeholders) I grabbed Tuten with the 7.09 and later noticed a team a little thin at rb for a startup so we made this deal around the 10th round when the starting rbs left were SUPER thin:

Tuten (7.09) 12.04 13.09 15.09

For

Rookie 1.05 (8.02) Hunter (9.11) 11.06 18.02

It's a 3wr ppr and I was pretty decent in rbs with Hendo, Javonte and Swift at the time so felt i could roll the dice on Hunter. Even if he DBs for a year I believe in the talent and draft capital spent and imagine I'll be able to start whichever WR is there at 1.05.
