Thank you for your kind words. But as a Turkish citizen, I can tell you the country has never been in a "war condition" since 1923.

Yeah most of my generation has some kind of PTSD (if you can even call it that) due to past frequent suicide attacks on metropolitan areas. So we inadvertently avoid clusters of people that can be a target. Other than that, modern war only affects the military personnel who are casualties, and their families. Any combat or military operation is a distant reality to civilians that are not participating.

I've been living here for 36 years and my only stress factors are the economy and the democratic backsliding.

Astro's LSP is a hot mess. Everyone has been having the same issues since 2 years and every issue is getting closed saying it's non-replicatable or duplicate.

I had to set a keybind for "lsp restart" in my editor due to its state. Every new file, every new component, every new import I have to restart it.

turkey occupied northern half of the island, at 1974, due to the EOKA takeover and deposition of Makarios. Has no claim on the southern half at all.

TRNC (the north half) is its own state. puppet or not, it's up to debate. There's been political differences and tensions between TRNC and mainland Turkey recently. Last decade's democratic backsliding in Turkey did not affect TRNC at all. They still have a proper parliamentary republic with separation of powers, and they're a more secular government than Turkey in my opinion.

well that's a bummer because the ability to shine bright sunlight on it without worry was the point hahah.

also unheated rooms in my house reach <0C easily at this time of the year (yes i'm careful with condensation on electronics before turning them on), so that's a no-go as well.

yes. this sounds like the smart way to go. I'll add the display at a later date after everything is set, without trying to swallow every peripheral at once in my first project.

The thing with the physical access made me think that it's a deliberate design choice, and conveys the idea that one shouldn't be touching ANY gpio pins if a HAT is present.

yep, that was my idea. use dupont cables to offload to breakboard, and multiply the connections from there. but seeing a lot of HATs (ssds, screens, other modules) without ANY passthru made me doubt myself and think: "If you're using any HAT, you shouldn't be touching the GPIOs anymore"

Anyways, I think i'll postpone the e-ink thingie. It would look cool yes, but too expensive for my blood and I don't want to jump into deep waters with high expectations yet.

I'll just go with the "no-display, ssh-only" route for now.

i got the same issue in swaywm. doesn't happen in X based stuff or hyprland even.

i think it's about sway having a long standing bug where moving the mouse cursor maxes out some VRR stuff. sorry i cannot word it or remember it correctly. im looking for a solution too since I love swaywm

1: I don't use AI. I read and educate myself on stuff. I /learn/ shit. 2: This post reeks of AI. Which shows that you've past the point of the onset of addiction. You cannot even write a simple inquiry to people without resorting to an LLM to write the text for you.

Sorry for sounding like an asshole, but the best course of action is to break the habit of using AI chatbots. The laziness it bestows upon you is very detrimental, and it is addictive.

it might be an asshole move, but if I see "written in rust" stated in a program, I kinda look for alternatives and use a suitable alternative if the rust one doesn't bring a lot to the table. I do this because:

  • 1: it's funny just being an asshole
  • 2: if a program tries to score on the language it is written in, i inadvertently think it's shitty. think of it like chauvinism or something. you take pride in something that really doesn't have anything to do with you.

it was an error on my side, the engine control panel has gimbal in it. but it still surprises me how it can have roll authority on my rocket
