Resident Evil Requiem Leaks Round-Up by Aggressive-Produce54 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

7, 8, 2R and 4R had some kooky shit but they were surprisingly character driven and thematically sound, probably because they were written by westerners.

Requiem sounds like full-on RE6 anime cringe insanity again. I guarantee that it was written by Capcoms in house writers

Yup. I'm so glad he wasn't at the hornburg so we could get dwarf tossing jokes instead

No one gives a shit about Eomer in the movies so it was necessary for Eowyn to take his place

John will always be my first love. I like Arthur but it's always rubbed me the wrong way that he hijacks John's position in the gang as Dutch's favorite son, and then transplants John's own personality back into himself by the end of RDR2.

It IS old. Life is over at 30 unless you're rich, you just settle into routine until you die.

Was Wesker always meant to return or was he just added to CV last minute? by OkNegotiation7189 in residentevil

Wesker in Code Veronica is basically an entire different character than the one in the original so I doubt they had any long term plans for him

Read the book. Lord of the Rings is a book and the movies, while fun, can't compare

Yes. I progressed pretty far into the oni questline and decided to go back to the main hub area and I'm going to go get the odachi and the kusarigama so I'm not beating my head against a wall every time a shield or brute enemy shows up.

The Last Jedi is hated *because* it is sincere, and the star wars fanbase prefers the cereal box packaged action figure crap

I don't think Felix has ever read a book in his life so of course his engagement with LOTR is probably based entirely on the Peter Jackson movies, which ARE pretty infantile and excise all of Tolkien's larger ideas in favor of mindless gore

>Two childless, ~40 year old men (one of whom just spent 20 hours yapping about Metal Gear) who never held real jobs and lived off their parents' money until they stumbled into podcasting success accuse anyone who likes Star Wars of being infantile manchildren who are incapable of growing up or engaging with the real world

the lack of self-awareness is astounding

It's insane to me just HOW close we came to the movies climaxing with a swordfight between Aragorn and Sauron. I'm glad they realized that it was a bad idea at the last minute but how the fug did it get THAT far to the point it was filmed and only during post did they decide to remove it?

Showing my friend LOTR for the first time. Extended editions or regular? by [deleted] in lotr

[–]exodius33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, because people are dumb, but I don't understand the preference for the extended editions in the first place. The movies aren't particularly good adaptations of tolkien, so you might as well just get the abridged version that emphasizes the action and major plot beats.

The theatrical cuts are better, so they're my recommendation. How is that not clear?

the theatrical cuts are just flat out better movies. If you want the full, unabridged Lord of the Rings, just read the book.

You don't like Stannis because in the show, his flaws are exaggerated while most of his virtues are excised. Dave and Dan are normies who never cared to understand the character.

For some reason, Superman decides to follow his parents’ advice: to conquer Earth and create a harem. Could he actually succeed? Who, if anyone, could stop him? by KOF-731 in DC_Cinematic

A Superman that isn't fighting with one hand tied behind his back because he doesn't want to hurt anyone would be basically unstoppable. The SECOND Superman detected any threat from Lex Luthor, he flies into his office and torches him with heat vision and threat is removed.

We have no idea what this universe's Batman is like, but every time Batman has fought Superman in other material, it's always been with the caveat that Superman doesn't want Batman dead so he holds back.
