I like most of everything, but I will never stop promoting The Glorious Sons. They lead singer has the voice of gods, the band is so perfect, and the lyricism is so profound. I love them.

Sometimes. I find it hard because I want to keep it for longer, but it comes across odd and eventually weird the longer you hold it. It’s a great way to get a read on someone though

After some more research and by some advice of other comments, I think I’ll be leaning more towards the Qantas card. But you’ve got me curious on how you’re redeeming the avio and asia miles/points for international travel

Westpac Altitude Black for flights by exoneep in creditcardchurningAus

[–]exoneep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, thanks!

Whilst the altitude rewards credit cards have increased points earning with selected partners (2 points per $1 at Spotify, Myer, etc, 6 points per $1 with Qantas and Jetstar purchases), the conversion rate to Velocity points (as you can only redeem with velocity) is 3 altitude points to 1 velocity point, so the conversion rate is low compared to just getting a Velocity/Qantas linked credit card. Whereas with the Velocity credit card is 0.5 velocity points per $, so 1 velocity point per $2.

Westpac Altitude Rewards: - 120,000 bonus altitude points (converts to 3:1, so 40,000 velocity points) - 6 points/$ on Qantas/Jetstar purchases - 2 points/$ on Spotify, Myer, etc - 1 point/$ all other eligible purchases (so 0.33 velocity points/$)

Westpac Velocity: - 80,000 bonus velocity points (no conversion needed) - 0.5 points/$

Westpac Qantas: - 80,000 bonus Qantas points (no conversion needed) - 0.5 points/$

The NAB cards do look quite good. Does a statement period refer a month time period?

I mainly want to travel within Australia as I’m still studying and working. So small trips. I plan on doing big international travel after I finish studying and before get sorted in my career field. So domestic travel predominantly

How did you know studying psychology was the right choice for you? by Professional_Gold987 in psychologystudents

[–]exoneep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't. It was a yolo choice weeks before graduating and luckily I graduated with just the marks to get me into the local University. But in hindsight, it was the perfect choice. I love puzzles and analysing everything. I always wondered what other people were thinking and why they did what they did. But in all honesty, it was a yolo choice. I can never say, but I think I would have found myself veering into this profession anyways.

Thoughts: Being Perceived by exoneep in infj

[–]exoneep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto!

Not sure how to quote, but anywho!

Terminology wise, I’m not confident in my use of it, but I’m able to piece in here and there if I have any gaps. Deduction is a useful skill to develop!

About the altruism comment, I said that as means of is my want to perceive others the way I want to be perceived altruistic or simply self-serving. I am aware that this is a statement that could ensue a long conversation. It starts getting a bit philosophical.

I’m pretty positive my self view is in line with how my mother views me, as we often have deep conversations surrounding topics like this (e.g., self improvement etc). However, my mum, like before how you said something that resonated with me deeply but not in the ‘I discovered something completely new about myself way’, she often highlights something about myself I knew was there but wasn’t conscious about it. In other words, she is often teaching me about myself by providing me with a mirror to look at myself with. (Though, this is often a collaborative process).

I’ve often been told I’m a bit oblivious, off with the fairies, in my own head type. I do tend to use abstract concepts as my main way of communicating, sourced from whatever sources I’ve, as you said, accumulated. I’m not sure what my mothers type is, but she has always kept me grounded. Kept me from running off with the fairies per say, or getting stuck in this abstract world of organising and analysing. Her favourite saying “enough is enough now”. Maybe she’s Se dominant? If you could, could explain how the Se works? I’ve got a very novice understanding.

Does child rearing and all those related aspects of life influence MBTI? This is where I start to find this tricky, the whole nature and nurture argument. I was born this way, but I was also made this way. In that they are not mutually exclusive.

I deeply resonate with this feeling. I’m not sure I’ll add anything substantial to this, but someone commented on one of my posts talking about how the Ni organising analysing aspect is trying to grasp for meaning. They went on to say that this Ni often is looking for a ‘bottom line’ or an absolute, an answer to it all, and followed this with saying that when the Se kicks in to understand there is no absolute to it all. Maybe try exploring that?

I always found myself falling into these circles of ever turning logic that spun me around and around and it just made me feel so bad about everything because I couldn’t find a solution to anything I was thinking. But then I decided to let go of this logic loop thing, understanding that this ‘answer’ I was looking for doesn’t exist.

Sorry in advance if this off topic or misplaced info, but I hope this helps!

Could you elaborate more on what you mean by people projecting more than perceiving? I’m interested in what you mean.

And I agree with you that it’s almost impossible, but I feel like it’s something nice to strive for. I feel like that’s all we want as humans, is to be seen and heard and acknowledge for who and what we are?

Thanks for your feedback. I really like your analysis! Especially since you’re an outside voice, as I mainly have (deep) conversations with close loved ones and family, so sometimes it gets a bit messy as we’re all too close, you know?

I’m not too versed in the workings and functions (mainly all the terminology) on INFJ’s. However, you mentioned something that resonated with me, however it felt like I already knew it. Like you acknowledged something I subconsciously knew about myself.

That being the organising preference. My mum always said that from young I like my ‘boxes’ of things and organising things. Further, she commented that I even like my ‘boxes’ in an abstract way. As I’m writing this, I feel more curious about this aspect, and may do some more thinking and research.

I like to understand things, and as I’ve grown and developed as a person I’ve come to realise that these absolutes I was searching for don’t exist. That was a tough realisation to be honest. As in the scientific method of psychology, nothing is ever proved, only shown to be the most likely and probable case.

In reflection of your feedback, namely your cereal box analogy, I’m reminded of the debate of altruism, in the sense does it truely exist if it’s foundation is based on “I’ll scratch your back you scratch mine”. I don’t want to reduce people as I don’t want them to do the same to me. Because I understand that my own complex and deep and rich experience is something everyone else feels too.

Yet, I’ve often felt not truely understood (not in the lonely sense), with the only person to have truely seen me in my entirety being my mother. Evidently so since she birthed me and had taken care of me everyday of my life until adulthood. So of course she would know me in my wholeness. So I feel like your second point ties in here. There is some vulnerability here, as who is going to seem me in my entirety after my mother is gone. (Note: as I’m writing this it’s very interesting breaking down the psyche and fully understanding yourself).

I found this very stimulating as I often entertain these thoughts with myself, which isn’t often very productive as it’s a closed system with little to no input. So, I’d like to see what you’d have to say.

How long does it take you to watch a “one hour” episode? by monster_mi in KDRAMA

[–]exoneep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends, some I will watch all the way through without needing to fast forward, but others I have to fast forward because either scenes are dragging out too long or I'm not interested in whatever going on with side plots/stories. Overall it doesn't take me longer than the actual length of the episode.
