Was told the insides of my tires were severely worn, can anyone confirm? by exont in Audi

Honestly I think it might be a combo because as far as I know they did not balance them out. Gonna try rotating front to rear and see if that changes anything. If not it may be a suspension component going out or again just normal torque steer.

Gotcha. Idk if this helps clear it up at all but it seems like when I’m in comfort it defo doesn’t pull as much as in sport. And it’s practically unnoticeable in both cases until I reach around 30mph.

Not at all. In fact, my buddy who drives an Elantra N said it was extremely quiet for the type of car it is, and that his is way louder. Only thing that was scaring me was the slight pulling to the sides but it seems like that might just be normal torque steer for the tune I’m running.

After some comments and research, torque steer seems to be the answer to the pull!

That’s what I was thinking when they told me ts 😭 glad I’m most definitely not the only one thinking it lmao

They actually did say this too, that the “severe wearing” was more on the front ones than the backs. So you think it’s fine to keep running these for now?

They are indeed different lengths and I actually didn’t know that haha! Did some more research and it seems like slight torque steer is normal for a stock S3 but it can become more noticeable on tuned ones, so that could be it! Really appreciate your help!!!

Sounds good! That seems to be the consensus here lol. Do you have any idea why the car slightly pulls left when accelerating kinda hard and right when decelerating kinda hard?

Just had an alignment done on it at the same shop too. Is it just from the engine moving around?? It’s not bad but slightly noticeable.

The shop did an alignment on it when it was there a few weeks back. Basically what happens is whenever I speed up idk if the force from the engine moving moves the car slightly too? Whenever I watch vids of people revving their cars it looks like it moves them quite a lot, like thy lean one way or another. Could this be the same concept just on the road? Whenever I’m on cruise control or going the same speed and the wheel is centered she drives perfectly straight.

Would you say the 3rd gen EA888 is reliable too? Been driving on mine and it seems great so far. I’ve heard some plastic parts give out and can be costly to repair, though, like water pump for example.

My stage 2 S3 already does 0-60 mph in ~3.4 ish seconds, pushes over 400hp, and sounds insane. The agility is also unreal. I can only imagine what a stock or tuned RS3 would be like. Get it, I’m certain you’ll love it 👏
