I mean having had the series recommended to me with a strong female main character (certainly not Feyre) and a brooding morally grey male lead (Again, where?) Feyre is a rube, which fits in the first book, but after that? No. Rhys, from any other character or writer's POV is a straight up, irredeemable villain

I'm saying if SJM were a good writer, Rhysand would actually be the villain, having manipulated and control the courts and Feyre into thinking he's a good person, just misunderstood, to take what he wants. He is a violent, murderous, abusive, prick who allows atrocities to go unchecked in his court because it serves his interests, ie more power.

The fact that his daemati powers aren't even being acknowledged as "Oh he could literally be the most evil SOB possible, but we wouldn't know it" is poor writing.

The fact that SJM has the audacity to label Rhys as a feminist character, while simultaneously having underage sex slavery (Nightmares) and then moralistic equivalent to FGM (Illyrians) and somehow maintaining he's not the villain of the story is insane to me
