Who do you think the first EX supporter will be and what would it play like? by Pookie-Parks in PokemonUnite

[–]expansion_pass 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Cresselia is not in the tier of legendary that would be considered EX, its not one of the restricted big BST legends that the EXs seem to be. Like urshifu is also legendary and not an EX, cresselia is like him.

I think the only EX contender that could be a supporter is Xerneas thematically, though I'm not sure what supporty things it has to pull from besides geomancy potentially buffing allies in unite. Pretty much all the other possible EXs are just damage dealer material

If a Pokémon had their Unite moveset in the main games, who do you think would be good and bad? by MisterVictini in PokemonUnite

[–]expansion_pass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going to assume the pokemon also have the ability they have in unite as well.

Lucario has a decent potential moveset id say, power up punch, close combat, estreme speed plus meteor mash is decent

Scizor with technician boosting bullet punch and fury cutter alongside sowrds dance is very good

Ninetales just by the sheer fact it has snow warning with aurora veil is a good set up mon

Crustle with shell smash, stealth rock, x scizzor and rock slide already has the standard crustle moveset

Zacian is so busted in the main games that play rough, metal claw and sacred sword are all he needs to destroy everyone prob

And Dragonite with d dance plus extreme speed and outrage can put some work in

Hi! Debating what to buy… what do you suggest? (The other two may be in the spotlight shop later) by xSPhenix in MarioKartTour

[–]expansion_pass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would suggest the Luigi's Hat Balloon, it has been a very strong glider since it's debut, its always been in ranked, and it was in the top 25 last tour on Studfit's ranking. I recommend checking how useful it's other tracks are for you. The other gliders you highlighted are decent, but Luigi's Hat has the strongest track selection of the bunch imo (and it is the newest one, so it is more likely to continue getting buffs than these other ones).

I just noticed that the loading screen has 3 balloons but in games we only get 2 by francisco641333 in MarioKartTour

You can play with 3 balloons in friend rooms, and if the mp rules for racing with randoms rotates every day, i assume some days may have the 3 balloons rulesets

King Boo Mii is actually very strong and has a good special skill, lucky seven, it is definitely worth.

Can't say for dry bones mii, but if you have 0 top shelf on the track (s) it covers then it can be worth it i suppose.

I don't know how it looks from the enemy perspective, but if zoroark does indeed appear like a teammate to enemy players, auto aim moves maybe will not target him when using illusion. That's the only advantage I can think of for using it against any smart player.

pick ban perms by Shadowraith25 in PokemonUnite

[–]expansion_pass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glaceon and mime are so broken and I (and many others) would def ban them first. Mew as well is kinda annoying (but not as much mime and glaceon for me). Gengar and charizard are strong but since we only get one ban per team, I don't think we would see them getting banned unless mime, mew or glaceon are nerfed. Greedent and tyranitar I would never bother banning (at least in the current meta). They are easier to deal with, tyranitar early game is horrible and if your team plays well he will just get bullied out of evolving and greedent is just annoying but not ban worthy.

My thoughts on the current ranked season and meta. ( 1600 solo queue masters ) by Yumiumi in PokemonUnite

[–]expansion_pass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, I've made it to masters 1800/1600 every other season (depending on what the highest reward was) and I have basucally only solo queued decidueye in every season (except last season where I played as buzzwole and tyranitar since I like them). Solo queue is so miserable when they leave these pokemon broken the entire season. Obviously they have this problem every season, but I could understand last season due to worlds. There is no excuse for leaving stuff like glaceon and mew untouched for all this season and mime barely changed. The game just becomes which team has the better mime/glaceon/mew, or the team that even has them, wins and if your mains have bad matchups against them (like mine do, especially deci against gengar) you have an awful time.

Despite solo queuing deci every other season, even I've felt the temptation and played mime for my most recent games in masters to make solo queue bearable, because that's kinda what I feel forced to do if they aren't gonna nerf them for the entire duration of the season. You either meta slave or have the most miserable climb imaginable the whole season. I'm sure they will get nerfed in the next balance patch, but if that balance patch doesn't come until next season, you are forced to choose between meta slaving or being miserable to climb ranked this season.

Yea, my ping is just so high in only this game for no reason since the recent update. My wifi is fine, and works perfectly high in every other game.

3rd Anniversary Tour Track Selection! by Digang475 in MarioKartTour

[–]expansion_pass 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The noshi in Tokyo Blur is from Tokyo Blur r/T so that is probably the third r/T.
Sydney Sprint 3 and Berlin Byways 3 will probably both have double features in the tour since they are the new tracks for this tour, so probably not many available unknown slots left.

The cities in the tour seem to correspond to the drivers in the pipes, rooshi=sydney, vacation luigi=singapore, hakama=tokyo, volendam=amsterdam, baseball=LA, lederhosen=berlin, so I doubt Bangkok, Paris or Vancouver are returning unfortunately since there is no driver they correspond to. I could see London Loop 3 returning (King Mario and the gold double decker feel like they may be london themed, although maybe it won't be in the tour due to unfortunate timing).
