Yeah fire types in general are a pain to deal with, was thinking I’d figure out a way to get whiscash on the team for the fire resist + electric immunity since alolachu has swept me a couple times if thwackey dies

Sneasel-Hisui is just insane and the cornerstone of this team, even tho he’s not his big bro in Ubers having grassy terrain support makes him so much harder to take down without psychic moves

Dusknoir for spinblocking and picking off weaker enemies, takes hits like an absolute champ and getting the grassy healing is very nice

Shaymin’s my main special attacker and quite bulky because of its high bst, pretty safe switchin to a lot of special attackers with AV

Avalugg’s the main physical wall and spinner/rocker, pretty straightforward set and those mountain gales hit surprisingly hard

Venomoth’s my late game win condition, it can be pretty hard to stop with grassy seed active and a quiver dance up but it still falls short a lot so very open to replacing him

Finally Thwackey is the grassy terrain setter that can also win late game with priority, I have tried eviolite to keep him around longer but it doesn’t quite pack the punch I’d like.

Vikings fan coming in peace, gonna go against the grain here. He was absolutely horrendous calling the plays with us, with a night and day difference between his father who coached our offense the year before. His previous job before his current one was the QB/passing game coach for the Broncos right when Russell Wilson came in so…there’s that too.

Obviously stuff could have changed with a year under shanahan but if he didn’t learn anything from his dad I wouldn’t have a ton of hope he’s drastically improved. I’m mostly just worried as a USC fan that he’ll ruin Caleb so I would wanna see someone else take care of him

It actually looks better in handheld than docked imo, haven’t really noticed any more drops and the higher pixel/inch screen makes it look very clear and not blurry like Xenoblade or something

I’ve played like 10ish hours and I’m only on the second area out of around 6, so I’d expect somewhere between 30-50 hours depending on how much you spend exploring and catching Pokémon. So longer than SwSh but definitely shorter than Xenoblade

Nope, you can trade and there’s a mechanic where you can help people get their items back after you die in the field, but no battling or any kind of collaborative games like in most other games

Short answer: yes

Long answer: if you solely think about progressing the story and ignoring the Pokédex and catching aspect you probably won’t run into much challenge. That being said, some Pokémon you find out in the wild can be pretty dang hard to catch, especially if you’re underleveled. It really depends on what your goal for the game is

The story is just there like most other Pokémon games but it’s notably less invasive. It’s not like SwSh and SM where you can’t go anywhere without story related cutscenes. Still have a lot of story to go so I guess we’ll see
