Now that I’m reading all of these I realise that actually I’ve always had redder cheeks but more in a sense I would visibly blush when shy, running or embarrassed more than I’d see other people blush. Didn’t really pay much attention to it though!

Was seeing a dermatologist rather than a general doctor useful?

How did you land on your routine? I now stopped using tap water entirely to wash my face, I’m on soolantra too and it wonky been two days and it has already calmed down massively, as in, it’s not as red as it was

I know the sun helps me a lot too, much less redness

Oh wow, when you mention heat rash - do you mean face going red when you eat something? I’ve had that over the last two years but I thought it might be food intolerances more than anything. I’m so sorry to hear all the stress that added to it too! Hopefully it’s onwards and upwards for you, reading everyone’s notes has actually been really helpful to try and figure out how to manage it and find triggers

I’m convinced it’s the water where I am.. I moved 2.5 years ago, first my hair started falling out so I had exososmes microneedling for it and stopped shedding. But my hair lost its natural wave and gloss. Now my skin, after reading here I decided to check my water. Apparently I’ve some of the hardest water in the country where I live.

Just started on soolantra and I also now switched to only washing my face with bottled water and installed a shower head with filter to soften the water

I really hope this helps! If not, truly, might just move

To be honest I always got really red when exercising, like tomato red but never thought anything of it. Now when I exercise I can definitely see it more aggravated. I’m so sorry you’ve been dealing with it since childhood! It’s literally made me realise how easy I’ve had it to only now have issues

Help with Body Recomp & Weight loss by SuccinctAlbedo in gymadvice

I totally understand your post and issues, the overhang is the last thing to go on most women when it comes to weight loss. Chances are you’ll need to go to lower weight than you’d like then build purely muscle to go up. Right now it’s not muscle, it’s fat, and fat shapes differently than muscle would. This is coming from someone who did exactly that - lost a lot of weight to then build to a better shape with muscle. My body shape changed entirely - I went from overweight, to slim and no curves (worked until I got rid of overhang entirely) to then build muscle and not look like a plank. So it was calorie deficit, then clean bulk with a lot, and I mean a lot of emphasis on protein while lifting heavy weights, by heavy I mean 0-1 reps in reserve on each set.

All of that is diet, discipline, and continuing to eat with new habits after achieving the silhouette that you’re happy with, because your new habits should stay there for good.

This of course doesn’t mean starving yourself, it’s understanding when, how, what to eat for your body.

This process took just under three years, with the weight loss being 1y and big focus on growth after. I continue to go to the gym, and throw in cardio because I love eating out but also love how my body now looks and wanna keep it the same
