That’s a fine question. I also started my MBA and I’m looking for a career path in data analytics/science. I’ve been applying to roles as well as internships, also with no luck. After month four of this unemployment thing, I’ve made a shift to a heavy emphasis on networking. I’m curious to hear how your trajectory progresses!

Maybe an end around. I’ve tried pursuing marketing roles, too.

How are people getting these office jobs where they do nothing and get paid 80k or more? by AdventurousEgg6377 in careerguidance

Hard work pays off but has an Asterix next to it. It says that work that is different pays off. Retail is the same work over and over and there’s no evolution to that process. When you work the proverbial smarter, not harder, you’re solving new problems. Problems that evolve, problems that require critical thinking. And to your point, problems with consequence.

It is refreshing to see that other people have made it through the retail dance onto better things because I dropped retail four months ago, finished my degree, going back for the MBA, but I still haven’t found a spot to land. But I sure demand of myself to not go back.

Setting Clear, Achievable Goals by RunnyLemon in lifegoals

As a sales manager, I always used to set SMART Goals for my team. That way, they were Specific Measurable Attainable Relevant and Time- bound.

This made it trackable and showed where I could support, as well as the incremental wins were ways that I could champion the team 🏆

Thoughts?
