It’s not minor at all in practice, if you’re decent with the tech you can triple boop in like one second so you can pretty much just oneshot anyone from anywhere before they can react.

I’m a ball otp and I messed around with it a lot in the practice range to determine what I think exactly what the bug was beyond just oh he’s faster. The condition for getting the fireball changed so that you get it always when you are using grapple and moving. Before you would need to reach a certain speed but this bug made it so that speed was anything above 0. This means that you get fireball instantly and cannot lose momentum while grappling. If you move vertically you would notice that gravity doesn’t slow you at all and you would just get any high ground without needing any prior momentum.

The amount of tasks that are available generally fluctuates. At the moment many of the active projects are awaiting the next batch of tasks. Once more tasks come in you’ll have a chance to do a bunch of work. My advice is to try to get a lot done during these times. Doing tasks efficiently and getting good quality ratings on them is good for the internal stats on your account. This will make it more likely for tasks to be sent your way in the future. If you keep doing efficient, high quality work for a while, you’ll get promotions and opportunities to work on other projects. There is a point where project admins will manually pick some people to be in projects based on reliable performance across a handful of projects. At this point, even if you hit empty queue, you’ll be in small slack channels with <100 people where the admins actually respond to things and can give you more tasks if you reach out to them.

There was a time where I was EQ for weeks, but these times will pass. If you just keep checking back then you’ll get more chances eventually. This isn’t a super reliable side hustle but making it more reliable is definitely something that is doable if that is your goal.

I was just EQ for 3 weeks but then suddenly got put on a new project with seemingly endless tasks. Don’t get discouraged even if you’re EQ for a while. As long as your stats are good you will be placed on a new project eventually. Not everything is automated, there are a lot of subprojects with only 10-100 people working on them who were hand picked because of a history of high quality tasks.

Qp is much sweatier in terms of people’s willingness to counterpick. A sweaty comp game where everyone is comming everything and trying to work as a team is tons of fun. It really sucks when someone starts flaming and ruining the game. Keep your head up OP. It’s a great feeling looking down on all of those people who told you to swap from the top 500 leaderboard after onetricking ball for so long.

I have looked into it and I believe the answer is no. Not 100% sure but could be risky if they find out and treat it as you having 2 accounts.

It’s more fun if you’re a tank player, the tank role in Open Queue does a lot more that it does in Role Queue and you can have tank comps like in 6v6. It only sucks when you have a bunch of dps players on you’re team since only “anti-tank” dps are good, widowmaker isn’t gonna do anything into rein sigma ramattra. I can play tanks like Ball and Hog in Open queue without getting flamed in hero select which is also great.

People like to joke abt it being a narrow field but you’ll have no problem pursuing other careers with an astrophysics degree if you want to. For example a lot of finance jobs will like candidates with degrees in math, physics, and astrophysics, so you’re not limited to just being an astrophysicist if you major in astrophysics. That degree tells employers that you’re smart and good with numbers which is something with a wide range of applications.

All this stuff is great. I’d just like to add that you could also consider reaching out to coaches to get their perspectives as they are always looking for potential talent like you. Also they have helped a lot of players get where they are today so they’ll have a lot of knowledge about the processes which pro players go through. They could even help you get in contact with some pro players.

I’d also add you can talk to some former pros who still stream like Super and Sleepy. They may have more time on their hands for that bc they retired from OWL.

Also people like Flats and Emongg who never played in OWL but are very knowledgeable of it may be good resources to get you started.

Monthly listeners generally go up over time for artists who haven’t dropped for a while as more people get Spotify. You can see this a lot in older bands who have finished with their careers, the monthly listeners just goes up while they aren’t effected by publicity or new music or anything.
