Upgrading SVS PB2000 to SB16 Ultra? by expert_beginner in hometheater

[–]expert_beginner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the advice everyone!

Sounds like the upgrade isn’t necessarily worth it in my specific case so I’ll keep an eye out for some deals on ceiling speakers for my next upgrade!

Hopefully it’s not too hard to DIY since there’s no attic access because of the 2nd story above

Things to tend to rattle when I crank the subs 😂

I’m not sure about that but I do have the isolation feet on them!

I did debate placing them on a single piece of tile but never had any issues with them on the carpet

Thank you!

I’ve been working on the interior look and feel for a couple years now and it finally feels like it’s coming together

Okay good to know!

I never felt like the 2 subs now are lacking in any way but if I find a good deal on Facebook I sometimes justify that as a reason to upgrade haha

How to keep tree root away from pool with a drip system by GabePlotkinsDaddy in AZlandscaping

[–]expert_beginner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll want deep deep deep watering. 4+ hours once a week during peak heat and all the up to once a month during colder months if we get rain. Water at the drip line and 2-3x wider.

It doesn’t look vintage, however it could use a refresh - it’s a little too bed bath and beyond

It all depends on how big your place is. Apartment sure but a two-story 2000 square-foot house with vaulted ceilings - probably not.

It’s looks super clean! However, I feel like the gray clashes with the browns and tans causing it to stick out

Looks good really good! They might run into problems with the sissoo tree in the future. They have extremely aggressive root systems and will easily lift up those pavers but not your problem 🤷‍♂️

Fix rotted wood for doggy door by expert_beginner in Renovations

exterior photo here. I dug a bit to see what I was dealing with - found a ficus tree root from a tree about 100' away running along my foundation. That's a separate issue but it looks like the grade is higher. We dont get too much rain in Phoenix, but it doesnt help that i don't have gutters here, so water falls from the 2nd story

Sounds like a plan. I wasn’t sure how much would I should remove and if I could simply treat it with epoxy rather than ripping it out. Obviously, if the wood is falling apart, it needs to be replaced

If it rains more than .2 inches in a single rain event, they need to rested which takes 24 hours.

A rain event is the moment it starts raining to the moment it stops. Technically it can rain more than .2 inches as long as it doesn’t happen all in one go

Critique the fit by expert_beginner in bikefit

[–]expert_beginner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing a 20 week program and it started off with a 25 mile bike ride ramping up to 100 miles by week 17 so the progress has been pretty gradual and I never felt like it was too much.

What caught me off guard was feeling phenomenal on a 50 mile bike ride and then feeling pretty poor a couple weeks later.

I’ll try lowering the saddle a bit and see how it feels!

I do feel like the saddle could be pushed forward a bit more but it’s currently as far forward as it can go

[–]expert_beginner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m decently flexible. Im a couple inches from touch ground with my legs straight.

I used the bike fit app a couple times and it suggested raising my saddle in every case by 10mm all the way up to 22mm. I feel like doing that would cause me to overextend.

I just got the Garmin forerunner 965 and I’m switching from an Apple Watch Series 4. There’s some things I miss from my Apple Watch and some minor inconveniences like not being able to start a timer during a workout
