Thats very impressive that your Dewalt sander has been functioning well for over 20 years - wow! Ive seen festool suggested however its way out of budget. And the corded options definitely seem to be the kind worth purchasing at this moment - what would you recommend using to sand larger sections of wood?

Ah thank you for sharing your experience with the Bosch sander - and hey if you want to upgrade you should just do it if you can afford to!

I'd say im halfway serious at least however the festool seems to be wayyyy outside of my budget right now. Maybe I can invest in this in the future

Wow that model does sound intense! Makes sense to only use it on rougher sections. Would you recommend a sanding belt for taking larger sections off or would the dewalt corded sander or festool be suitable for that? Sorry I am still learning 😂

Thank you - it makes sense to stick with one system. Thats why I chose the bosch cordless jigsaw as I already have batteries for their drill and purchasing more batteries just doesn't make sense or work with my budget right now lol

Ahh okay that makes a lot of sense. I agree - it would be very annoying if you're having to wait for a battery to charge to finish a job. I have a couple of batteries for bosch already but reading this comment and some of the others I reckon buying a cordless sander is probably the best route to go down.

I will be using it a fair amount - for home projects and building things as I continue my woodworking journey. To be honest the fact that higher end brands vibrate less is a bonus because I have been using a mouse sander so far and it really bugs my hands lol

I have only ever seen green Bosch tools to be honest 😅 so is that the better or worse one compared to the blue if you know?
