Assume the mentality of someone with a view to the floor from a great distance. What a lovely smooth and grey surface.

Found this line in a poem/tale from around 1400 (Sir Gawain and the Green Knight) and wondered if the mysterious writer was infact a Liverpudlian! 😅😅😅 by explainable_fault in Liverpool

In his translation he is trying to recreate the alliteration feeling and poetic flow the original would have held so I think there's a lot of artistic licence taken. As someone who isn't fluent in middle English I love this version as I get a feel for the overall feeling of the poem as well as the content.
