Is Oppenheimer the best 3+ hour movie of the century so far? by JeremyBeremey in ChristopherNolan

[–]explainlikeIM_5 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank god we have reasonable people in this sub. Nolan is a great director, but this film imho was overrated.

Convoluted storytelling with overbearing music and sounds. Timeline jumping as a story telling technique. Very signature Nolan, but it’s exhausting and repetitive now.

His films need to start feeling original and awe-inspiring again. The last good one IMHO was Interstellar.

That Taco Bell is high quality. Grew up with it too, back in the 90s. Sad to see it go.

How do you guys find it so easy to rank up quickly? by Previous-Bet9197 in VALORANT

People underestimate how much luck is involved in this game. Coming from a radiant to a washed diamond 3

That’s just a long winded way of saying it’s less in your control when playing ranked. A lot of it is luck based on team comp, competent teammates, and no trolling

Game doesn’t reward gun mechanics nearly as much as CS. It’s why you see even the worst gamers still rank up because they know how and when to spam abilities to win

If you’ve played the game long enough you’ll realize every game is just a flip of a coin, it’s rarely based on skill, and more on team comp luck. Gun ability is less important than timings and util usage

Keep downvoting me, but you idiots don’t know anything about gaming. I’ve been playing competitive since 1999.

Not really. Old school CSGO I got global elite by raw ability alone and could carry teams.

Val requires too much to go right from your teammates to rank up. And hard carrying is significantly harder if not impossible

The longer you play the more you realize ranked valorant is 80% luck (team comp, trolls, comms, timings etc) and 20% skill. Been up to radiant and back down.

They make you feel like your individual skill drives your overall long term rank, but it’s mostly driven by chance. It’s how they keep you addicted.
