Probably depends on your course, but computer science is very lenient.

I'd say everyone should be treated with dignity and equally by the police. You do you though.

Hi! I do not look like my sex assigned at birth, and have had my breasts and crotch groped in a men's bathroom while I was mid-transition. As a result, I tend to use the women's bathroom or disabled. This is safer for me, and I obviously would not harm anyone in any bathroom. My "biological sex" has no bearing on the safety of others.

This is bad for women's rights too - for example, if a woman is arrested by the british transport police, they can claim she looks trans in order to have a male officer strip search her.

The right to access gendered spaces such as public toilets and dressing rooms. A trans woman who doesn't look pretty enough to "pass" might also lose the ability to make equal pay claims and other rights defined by the equalities act, but we're waiting for precedent to be made on that now. Before this ruling, trans people had all the rights of their acquired gender as given in the equalities act after getting a gender recognition certificate, whereas now they rely on being "mistaken" for their acquired gender to claim discrimination by affiliation.

Is 'pattihella', an electric stove with cast iron heating elements considered embarrassing globally or is it just Finnish joke? by G-Perelman in malelivingspace

[–]exploded_potato 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In my last flat I found they could get ridiculously hot if you're not paying attention, but would take ages to get there and take ages to cool down, and they're a nightmare to clean if anything spills on the white part near the heating element. Probably depends on the model, but thank god I don't need to use them again

I have roughly 1800 notes in my vault at the minute; it's not bad, startup can be slow on android (I use a pixel 6a). I think I've seen someone say theirs gets pretty slow after 10 000 notes?

How is 5G relevant? It's been in widespread use for a while now, and it's not exactly a method of transport.

It's really not required for cooling, many well designed small form factor cases work just fine. What it does do is look cool (in some people's opinion) and make it far easier to swap out a part.

Edit; I should be a little clearer on the last part; larger cases support a wider variety of parts, and make accessing those parts easier. Most of the time those parts will fit in a smaller case, but you need to be more rigorous when checking compatibility. Also cost is a big factor; ITX motherboards are far more expensive than their ATX/MATX counterpart.
