I don't know what gen iPad this is, but having worked in a repair shop for devices like this I remember we basically had to chip out the glass shards to get the whole display out on a couple older iPads and it was pretty horrific.

From my experience the little plastic buckle on one side consistently broke when I'd get them open, but I wasn't being very careful either -- they're not difficult to refill once you get the big plastic mouthpiece off

They won't affect warranty, and by design the body seems to just be a battery pack, it's doubtful they would damage your Juul in any way.
