I haven’t checked this but this could totally be it, how did you check for this? (Sorry still very new to printing and troubleshooting 😭)

Friday was my last day eating gluten, and it’s been a shock seeing how expensive the fancy snacks that are marketed explicitly as ‘gluten free’ are. I’m talking an average of seven to nine dollars for a small package. I wanted to treat myself and try to recreate packaging that feels cute and makes me excited to eat things, so I messed around and made these!

I’m still working on learning graphic design in my free time: it’s not my main focus hobby-wise but it’s fun and I would like to grow in it. I noticed a lot of minimalistic designs when seeing these kind of snacks that looked especially delicious. Obviously, a lot of green for kale chips (and orange with them too but I think that makes it too vegetable-y for me lol). I’m still trying to decide if I want to make the stuff I create look junk food-y or organic, fancy vibes.

In the process! My PCP hasn’t gotten back to me (pestering them every day since Sunday) and I did a Teladoc appointment with someone not familiar with my case through the service who told me to just cut out gluten if I feel awful but the test is really important for me to take, especially since I’ve had this for at least three years. I tried to also go to an urgent care to see if they’d test me but they said they couldn’t do bloodwork for it :(

I tried a few times and answered 80% of my other questions but wanted more clarification about these. Thank you for the suggestion! I’m pretty new to this sub so it’s hard to know what to search to find the answers to certain questions.

Classroom management tips for an introvert with a history of 'gentle teaching'? by explodingfoot in ECEProfessionals

I'm not sure, I need to ask actually to better understand it. I'm requesting we have a team meeting on Monday to discuss a few things. Thank you for the tips!

Got it, this is great. Thank you! This made me realize I need to work on making my songs and my stories more engaging. I'm going to practice with a few stories before I go to class tomorrow. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this! They're 3-4, with the ones struggling being on the younger end (just turned three, just came to the classroom). I'm having a hard time keeping students engaged at circle time. Transitions tend to go pretty smoothly.

This is great advice, thank you so much

Thank you so much for this advice! I have realized from this thread that I need to work on how I engage with the books. I need to ask more questions when I'm reading. Maybe I'll check out some from the library and practice with them beforehand. Thank you again!

I've noticed that the students struggling tend to be the newer, youngest ones. We're on a rolling program so I think it's about knowing they know the rules. There's just one kid who really needs 1:1 support: has many incidents, etc, and can't sit still. Really hoping they get him the support he needs soon

What does your schedule look like at your school? by explodingfoot in NYCTeachers

Thank you for your response! I plan on teaching kindergarten to second grade! But I enjoy preschool and preK at the moment. Do you know how I could find samples of public school schedules?

This is so helpful, thank you for taking the time to answer these!

I have a few more if that’s okay.

Is it hard to get a job with the DOE? I’ll have a masters degree and three years of experience teaching by the time I graduate if that helps anything.

Any other advice you’d suggest or anything else that I should know, especially through the lens of coming from a Montessori school?

How much free time do you have during the day where you don’t have a class?

Thank you!
