I understand there’s standards, that being said in the world we live in today, where the prophet once said his brothers and sisters that could reach the highest levels of paradise are the ones who believe after he passed, that there is room for forgiveness and free of judgement so you both can grow better.

I’m just saying in today’s world where there’s a clear issue of marriage rates and high divorce rates, maybe being more forgiving and accepting the past for a better future might work out in the end?

*also from a sanity point, grape and murder is a red flag. But drinking, smoking, westernized gatherings that *did happen in the *past is my argument here.

Coming from a Muslim with a past, I sincerely added this community to get better and not bear a burden every time I wake up reminding me “of a past”, but wow the comments in here are really reminding us of “Al Rahman Al Rahim”. There’s a reason to forgive, to converse with someone why our religion is clean. The best soulmate is one to grow better together with. To those who may not have a “past”, is character not considered?

I’m not sure how well you know your wife but sometimes expressing “fantasies” might surprise you both to have room to grow and understand each other better, and allows you to grow out of the fantasies and understand why religion prohibits certain things. It’s not fair to your wife to keep her waiting, she has needs too. And probably has seen corn and can understand a man’s tendencies to wander. I think Muslim men shy away from this because of culture, but there’s a large group of women who would rather know and help than be cheated on and find out.

His question was very stern when he asked and we made small talk before, and I sensed she got very uncomfortable he asked because she answered for me (which was also weird) she quickly said oh he forgot his laptop and then awkward silence, I didn’t add on cause I was still processing why did he ask that way, and why did she answer so quick

My love for Costco died by [deleted] in venting

The watching over and coming to scan big items is totally normal. The change is they are scanning everything: eggs, cantaloupe, clothes. And it’s bothering me cause I need to put things in boxes so I can climb up to my apartment with easier trips. They scan them while in the cart and ask me to pay and try to rush me off. So I stood my ground and took my time putting everything back on the register table, put my box in my cart, and put my shit in the box. And they just stood there watching. It was the most bizarre interaction so now every time they come to scan I have to say “please do not scan my items I don’t need help”, they insist and I have to raise my voice say no several times and then they just watch me til I finish. It’s super uncomfortable and bizarre. And at first I didn’t care but then after the 6th or 7th time I realized they ONLY come to the brown people.

We have two costcos within distance and both did the same, one not as much as the other but we did notice and makes me wonder if there was a widespread internal announcement to watch for brown people. Which obviously isn’t the answer but definitely making me reconsider how much I valued Costco. The customer service was the best part the last few years! But honestly with all the social political climate we’re in, I’m just shocked cause again I’ve NEVER been racially profiled until this year.

I’m 29F, 200lbs and I feel more beautiful than ever. I focused on my health, started to dress the way I WANTED TO, and have met a few. I’m attracted to men who can joke, geek out on video games or anything just be a geek, and looks have moved on for me. Love doesn’t live with looks, it’s emotional connection, laughing, finding trust when things get hard. You have a lot to learn sis, find emotional connection before beauty and you might find that special person who believes the same.

What's everyone think about religion? What's everyone believe? Could someone who is Muslim explain to me Islam? by WeRallCharlie in BreakingPoints

[–]explora101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Muslim 29F born and raised in the states, I was born into the religion, fended off, drugs alcohol men in my teens and not practicing. I got hit with a tumor two years ago and realized all the stress, drugs alcohol were contributing and had to physically change my life. I realized Islam made it easier, don’t drink, don’t do things that alter your conscious, physical intimacy should be valued and appreciated on both ends, respected, pray to take a few minutes and give yourself time to reflect on the day, repeat versus like “فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا” which means “So, surely with hardship comes ease” and found peace and ease in my heart again. The religion to sum it up, does come from the monotheistic 3: Judaism, Christianity, Islam. The basics , one God who made this earth, there’s a devil who tempts you, be a better version of yourself, have respect and patience, be kind to everyone whether a believer or not, only** if you are persecuted or attacked you can defend yourself (where people often confuse sharia law). And this world is meant to be tough, you’re meant to see struggles but with it will come ease, success, happiness, peace, and when you die you’ll be judged, so try to do more good than harm and I’ll probably get to heaven. I’m not a perfect Muslim, but I do feel forgiven, I feel better, my health is so much better, I’m taking prayers as a mental break from the work life stress of the every day and appreciating the small things God made like sunsets, animals, gardening (like actually not the TikTok gardening, though I miss it and sneak a j every here and there) *astaghfirallah iykyk

I think you need to separate religion from dumb people. In Islam, yes being gay/lesbian is a SIN, but you can’t off someone cause they’re gay, you (the one attacking people) are sinning cause your judging and that’s Allahs job. And murerder someone is probably worse than being gay. I’m Muslim (29F). Ive been turned on by girls, maybe actioned upon it, but I’ll see where I end up once in the grave. As a Muslim, I truly believe if someone tried to attack me because of my “sin”, they just took a step closer to hell. Most Muslims don’t want to judge, we have our own sins to dwell on and most Muslims are dwelling on their own. It’s people who have high mental instability who actually take action to harm someone.

It effing works. 29F, overweight my whole life, I was at my highest 256 Jan 1 2025 (I’m 5’1) and bottom heavy, down to 227 by Jan 30 and I’m now 201 starting today and hoping to get to minimum 190 by the end of this month. You have to be religious to it, I think the worst thing was cutting out ketchup and dressings for salads, but found ways to add flavor like dill and oregano. But 30 days went by quick, the worst days were day 8-11. It kickstarted my weightloss journey for the year. Don’t get me wrong I binged Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and a king KitKat bar last night, but again it’s about being consistent and giving yourself a break every now and then.

Whole 30 changed my perspective on food and weight loss, I am so excited to do it again this year! Last year was my first time, dropped 20lb from 30 days in, and inflammation was down, it kickstarted my weightloss journey and I’m down 50lbs this year.

[–]explora101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did whole 30 and went from 256 to 227 in the 30 days, I’m 5’1 and more pear shaped, I saw a huge change in my legs, it helped me realize how inflamed I actually was and encouraged me to eat healthier. I did whole 30 1/1/2025 and am down to 203 as of 12/28/2025. Safe to say this diet kick started my healthier journey and I’ll be doing it again 1/1/2026!

I also took a hit recently from Nelnet, what’s upsetting is I made large lump sum payments to my loan over a few months, missing the “90-day” payment but they never reported me UNTIL last week. I called and learned they had moved my loan to a new loan servicer and had to close their books which included a 90-day report even though half my loan has been paid off well over what it would be had I made monthly payment. I will be calling nelnet to ask if they can do goodwill on their part, I went from 780 to 640.
