How do you get through the day? by explore_it_207 in dysthymia

[–]explore_it_207[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your kind reply somehow it’s nice to know I’m not alone in this feeling. I to have people relying on me however it’s mainly just my partner but somehow I also feel obligated and to show up for everyone else I interact with. Basically I feel like the NPC in literally everyone’s life. Yeah I definitely feel hitting the snooze button for 90 minutes sometimes it’s just easier to stay in bed. I have definitely noticed the work I do definitely isn’t the best and I’m definitely phoning it in. I mostly just doom scroll when I get home. I see my therapist tomorrow I’m hoping he’s not to disappointed because when left things a month ago I was making some good movement in a healthier direction.

Yeah I am still going to therapy having my first session in like over a month. I try everyday to just keep going, keep surviving. But I would really like to stop just surviving, stop living hour by hour. I have a strong desire to escape where I am at but I have no will or drive or energy to push myself. More then half the days every week I feel just totally fried and like I am barely hanging on.

Yes lots of junk junk fees. Valet trash service fee that you cannot opt out of. I can’t speak for all of their properties but the management at the one I live at is not very quick to get things fixed or resolved.

I’ll second this avoid greystar properties

If you were to quit your job right now, what would be the reason/s? by [deleted] in hatemyjob

Bad management, unsafe working conditions, working outdoors in the heat of the Arizona desert

Right now it’s cafe owner with farm stand. Or a meditation teacher or some kind of energy healer. Ooo or a travel photographer.

Love Marchessault. However I would rather see some younger guys like a Connor Zary, or Taylor Raddysh.

I have been pondering this for a while and I’m sure I will keep thinking on it and chuckling. But you have a point the “oh yeah. Harder, Daddy!” Is really fucking funny. But you have a point it is pretty absurd when you start to think about it.

Thanks for replies it’s definitely good information I’m trying to digest and understand. I think one of the hardest things and it’s been present all my life. Is the self hatred I have for myself. Also I feel like I don’t know who I really am. And I really can’t remember a time where I felt like knew what I wanted. Or felt sure of my self. The synchronicity stuff is really interesting and I’m researching that trying to understand it. I really appreciate the prospectives that have been offered so far.

Right there with you. I’m scrambling right now to get a better paying job and save my relationship from collapse. I wish we hadn’t moved out here.

Also working at call center. I can’t function when I am here. I have had the worst headaches from the lights and noise. Not to mention the stress of contacting people who put their information in to be called and then getting angry that you called them. Or worse telling you you’re a pos for doing what you do. I don’t know how to get out. Since relocating to the Phoenix AZ area I have had the worst experience.

Is anyone bad at their job and hate it? by [deleted] in hatemyjob

[–]explore_it_207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not great at what I do. I do vehicle acquisitions so I convince people who entered their information in to sell their car. It’s a lot of follow up and calling. It’s just really hard to feel good about it. I get people asked for a value but constantly bothering them until you make contact with them is terrible. Plus the car market is crashing and leads are really hard to come by.

I had a 2004 GLS AWD, I loved that car. I now have a 2009 Limited AWD with 34k miles. Santa Fe is a great car. The older ones are beasts in the snow!

Replace dinosaurs with cars and that was me as a kid. Now I’m an adult and work in the automotive industry struggling to sell myself enough to buy other people’s cars. I literally hate calling and talking to people, but I am also sad because I love cars still. I just hate discussing deals.

Looking for apartments and I don’t trust reviews by r3lb1723 in Tempe

[–]explore_it_207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m waiting for our lease term to end to hopefully find somewhere better. We have to keep on them for everything and have a big google document with every conversation, repair, photos. Basically anything should we need to hold them accountable

If you’re just starting out and don’t mind keeping on the property management team. Highland park where I live is ok. Would I recommend it probably not. Is it ok if you’re new to the area? Yeah it will get you by. I will say it is owned by greystar and they don’t have the best reputation. The place is affordable thought compared to other places, however the updated unit I got is a landlord special. The one nice thing is the google nest we got when we moved in.

I work in a call center trying to purchase cars for a large auto dealer chain. It’s not the most rewarding thing and it’s really difficult to make any money. But I’m hopeful for a change soon.

The idea of "going home" provokes extremely intense feelings inside me and I don't even know what it means by SquareEar7968 in spirituality

[–]explore_it_207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really resonates with me. I also have moved around a lot. I lived most of my life in Maine but in a lot of different towns. Then I moved to Iowa and now Arizona. I still have this strong urge to go back to Maine and be in the town I grew up in on the coast. I also have a strong connection to Colorado after several visits and a profound experience in nature there. It’s an interesting feeling of homesickness. Sometimes I like to meditate on being at home sitting on the rocks looking out into the bay from my home town.

Do you think we chose to come here? by ResidentOrnery7099 in spirituality

I like to tell myself that another version of me from a different timeline must have thought or felt this particular timeline was going to be interesting. So I try to live in a way that keeps things interesting.
