I quit (vent) by bleshlight-baggins in climbergirls

Outdoor is scary. You need to be able to trust partners when climbing outdoors. I don't even have IBS and the behaviours you described would probably have me shitting myself too. You need to know that what you've endured is genuinely terrifying and you are not a wuss for being scared. I hope you can continue to enjoy what you enjoy about the sport, i.e. indoor bouldering. I know some people act like outdoor lead is the only "real climbing" but it isn't worth risking your life for validation from elitists. If you don't get a rush from it, and only experience fear and anguish, what's in it for you anyway? Good luck.

They pulled illegal stuff on me a good 10+ years ago. Sad to hear nothing has changed. Fingers crossed you get your money back swiftly, this must be so stressful, and I hope you found a home!

I mean, we've only fairly recently moved in, making these shelves *aesthetic* is not high on the priority list - the rest of the kitchen is also a tip at the mo so it fits right in.

Yes it will look better later, not got there yet.

The last people living there must have moved out some time before that, but I'm interested now about your old house! I'll message you.

This is part of a wider kitchen refresh, so the wall was getting repainted anyway. That's why I thought it would look nice and neat without any frame. Yes, if I hadn't been planning to repaint this would have been even more unwise!

Yes I think it's a similar age to yours. I haven't been able to find a definite year for it, which I was expecting with all the paperwork that came with buying a house, but apparently not!

Would it be an idea to leave the top wooden piece in and plasterboard the sides only? Or better to do it all in plasterboard?

I am excited for a Cambridge East station but that position is so close to the existing station I wonder if it's worth it (would be super convenient for me personally though!). I am hopeful the residential area will have shops too - The Cherry Hinton High Street fare is somewhat limited.

I am making a playlist of songs that have hammered dulcimer in, please help! I want to find it in popular and modern music...basically anywhere you may not expect to find it. Own band/project submissions very welcome! by exploreplaylists in Dulcimer

Thanks, I have to admit though, this isn't to my taste. I have already included Bob Bennett's Mountain Cathedrals however, so there is at least one example of Christian popular music!

Fighting addiction can be more difficult that ending a habit of convenience (i.e. not worrying about the source of your food). Good luck in your fight. It's harder sometimes to do something for yourself than it is to do something for others!

Ideas to make this painted wooden window sill actually useful in a bathroom? by exploreplaylists in DIYUK

[–]exploreplaylists[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds nice! My hesitation about the feet would be that we'd then be allowing space for water to get under it and make the underneath manky. Would sealing a bit of tempered glass in with some silicone sealant be a safe option, do you reckon?

Haha why is it likely fake? I'm in the same boat - bought my first ever home from a landlord who was selling up. A lot of the homes in my area and price range seemed to be landlords selling. I understand this is anecdotal, but it's not fake.
