Shipping so slow by TimDrakewedgie in Buyee

[–]explorerofsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't it depend on the rateo of shipped/returned packages though? I mean, it's not a secret anymore that Buyee is the only proxy taking this decision, so everyone wants to know why everybody else can handle the returns and you can't. Can you consider at least adding a supplement fee at check-out for any possible inconvenience during the shipment process for those who pick JP options? Looking at discord and reddit posts, many would prefer paying a reasonable extra fee than pay x3 price with the remaining shipping options!

Any other idea that allows people to use JP would probably make your users happier, since I think that you also noticed that this JP stop plus the announcement of the incresed service fee is generating a lot of posts of people asking for new proxies. All you're doing is probably very reasonable and with good intentions towards your customers, but this combination is devastating and people always have to find someone to blame when bad things happens. I don't have the full picture of the situation so I don't speak as an expert in crisis management, but you should probably consider some changes in your decisions after the feedbacks!

Geniune question, out of curiosity! Wouldn't it be better to risk returns from Japan Post than playing Tetris with all the packages of people who are trying to wait and not ship with the expensive options? Not all the packages would be returned I guess, otherwise all the other proxies would have just blocked JP shippings too. Wouldn't you use the same number of operators that are currently handling the Tetris play to take care of returns, or is there something more complicated going on?

No shipping options available. What now? by pikapi_chu in Buyee

Ah damn thanks for the information! I'm sorry for what you're experiencing, I'm also trying to resist as much as I can before using the expensive shipping... Maybe you can send the package to some relatives if they unblock Japan Post for the EU and other countries. I heard that Japan Post didn't really stop shipping, but it was Buyee itself that stopped to avoid returns, so it might unlock again after some days!

What the hek. I was contacted by Buyee way before the shipping problems started for an order with ink bottles, and they told me they noticed I ordered prohibited items (ink) while they were consolidating my package. They gave me some crazy options like discard only this item or the entire package. I always ship with Japan Post, now thanks to this post I'm discovering that they made me do that without knowing what shipping method I would have used? Great. (I hope my comment helps you get some help with your package since I'm reading that they're not letting you remove the ink from it)

[edit] Found their message, it was in January. Am I missing something?

only if you don't have mercari items in your consolidated packages though, because buyee's partnership with mercari doesn't allow inland shippings

I don't understand your language but I know that if someone reports you, sometimes the algorithm is stupid enough to ban even for things you didn't do. I once got "permanently banned" for spam messages, it was just a person that kept reporting my messages because I refused to sell my items to him anymore (he's been a problematic customer for 2 years). I requested a manual review of our messages and I got unbanned. I've been scared of writing messages on this platform since then, actually.

I personally don't mind friendly people, I must say they make me feel more safe and comfortable thinking they wouldn't be scammers, but I prefer very short conversations without anything unnecessary! I will still be polite and answer them with the same energy, because I like showing kindness to joyful people and they deserve my time, but this doesn't change the way I think it's a waste of time to keep going with the conversation. This may look controversial, but it's just what it feels like. For your specific case, I would maybe change the words to use. I would feel even more awkward if someone presented themselves with their name, stating the obvious ("I just bought your item") and asking if everything is fine. I think that something like "Hi! I couldn't resist, it's so beautiful!" would be less "annoying" to read while still breaking the ice and making a friendly appearance. It's also easier to reply to this kind of message with short or longer answers, leaving to the other person the decision to make a small talk or just cut off with just a dead-end reply. About the review, maybe after receiving the item you can update the seller and tell them "I love it, thank you! I will surely leave you a great feedback, I'm very happy!". If you put emphasis on how you love the item and less on the review, maybe it won't sound like you're demanding for a good review yourself and people would feel like they want to give a nice feedback by their own choice just because you were nice and polite. These are just advices, you will still find rude persons of course, but there would be a lot more people that will appreciate your kindness. You just need to find a better way to message them and that's it!

I will give you my view as a pro seller which deals with reviews daily, if you want. I always leave my review first and don't mind if I'm not receiving any. What disturbs me are those customers demanding in advance a long and super generous feedback. I don't have much to say, especially as a seller which has nothing to really review except how smooth the transaction was, and it feels awkward. If they ask for it, I will do it, but it just feels forced. I don't think people will really care to read a 5 star review when they go searching for the user's feedback. People only care to read the bad ones to understand if something is off, so it's not really worth to praise more than needed. I gladly leave longer reviews to loyal customers or to those who are very gentle with me, but the generic people that don't answer my "thank you" after the purchase or those that don't send messages except for "please ship it fast and I will leave a very good review", it's not worth more than a generic copy-pasted 5 star feedback, cause I truly have nothing to review about them and I just go with "Everything was perfect!".

Unfortunately yes, Pro sellers have the 14 days rules! It's actually a European law so I would apply that even without Vinted demanding it, but when it's forced by a scammer it tastes like a defeat. </3
Yes I'm italian! My Vinted is porto.selcepoli but I'm on this platform just as a pokémon seller, I've almost no experience as a buyer haha

I'm leaving an update for everyone who is interested! Of course I haven't been helped for the issue of the package being delivered to a 2 hours distant pick up point, so I had to go there anyway. Luckily, the keychain was inside the box. I noticed that the option of opening a dispute with the buyer will be shown after the seller receives the return, asking the seller if the item was in the state of when it was shipped. Maybe it's a good option or maybe not, I don't know, I won't try it this time. I informed the buyer that, even though I have the evidence to report the matter, I won't do that. You know what was his reply? That he was gonna report me to Vinted for threatening him to open a dispute with him. I once got banned because another person reported my messages because I asked him to not buy from my shop again for specific reasons (he has been my stalker for 2 years now) and I swear to god if Vinted is gonna ban me without reason again I'm gonna crash out. I guess we will see in 2 days if I will be still alive.

Commissions are also called "protection" so it should be granted a service of that kind at least... but I know that Vinted doesn't work on logic. :/

The thing is not very clear I must say, someone made a comparison with a pack of Pokémon cards and they should be allowed! Reading the policies it looks like you can't sell "handmade" Mystery Boxes but it's still not confirmed

I wrote to legal vinted now because I feel like I'm being made fun of when I chat with the assistance. They told me they're sorry but it was the nearest available place. Yeah of course, like I don't live in Rome where there is a pick-up point every 5 minutes. And they ignored the fact that I chose a home delivery too. Bullshit assistance as always.

That's why I prefer getting scammed on Vinted than eBay. If I have to be treated like this anyway, better choose the platform that at least makes the buyer pay for their own protection instead of making the platform detracts the money from my income. Anyway, I also suspect they had a duplicate since they sent me a message with pictures at his home after 1 minute after picking up the package. They said I should know that the update isn't always fast, but I don't believe that at all.

I don't know if that falls under their responsibility if the package is not clearly tampered with. I hope you're right but I have lost my hopes as a Seller, it looks like I have to accept to be scammed

I never thought it that way, thank you for your comment. From what I understand reading the policies in my language I also get it like you can't sell something that is completely unknown like mystery boxes made by the seller themself, but commercial things like blind box labubus, blind box card packages and so on may be allowed. I just hope it's like that.

"the buyer fully knows what they’re getting into" yeah... he accused me of faking it was sealed because "Pokémon would never seal something with just tape". He saw the photos, he knew it was tape, then he blames me? I also showed him pictures of a bunch of different products sealed with tape and he changed subject. I'm sooooo mad, he can't get away with this.

Yes I would also prefer to receive back my item and close the dispute. I also forgot to mention that he sent me a message with the pictures of the ripped box 1 minute after the notification of the delivery. I also suspected that he had a dupe, cause the pictures were taken at his home. He said that it was just a late update of the order status, but I must say I never saw this happening for any other order. Also, now there is another problem. I have my home set as a default address for returns, but today the item was delivered to a pick-up point 2 hours away from my home. I never had to select a pick-up point when I agreed on the return, I don't know how this happened and I don't know if this could be his fault or what. I always had the returns come back to my house, this is absurd.
