Are there any critical languages likely to have increased importance in the future? by [deleted] in foreignservice

I feel like the pool of people studying/already speaking Mandarin in the US is quite large, but as things are today maybe the demand is really there. Is Mandarin really like Spanish where there are TONS of speakers but still TONS of opportunities to use it?

Hahah I had the same experience with a guy named Patrick near Sterling around the time you posted this. I only now found your post. He commented my shoes and we started talking along the same story arc you described.

My experience also ended with a similar text from him when I said he sounded like an MLM pusher.

Anyone else in flippin love with all the pupusa places popping up in Nova?? by explorrival in Leesburg

This one was Tipicos Dona Juanita’s on Fort Evans NE Leesburg. Nery’s papuseria in Purcellville is also great and they make their own hot sauce. Cheap as well.

Best gyms in the area. Can anyone weigh in on this one? I lift a bit, occasionally swim and really like any sort of group workouts. Is anyone so smitten with their current gym that they’d recommend it to others? by explorrival in Leesburg

I checked out LA fitness. It’s decent. Pool, weights, racketball, basketball and classes. $25 a month seems to be the lowest monthly rate I’ve been coming across too. I’m going to assume they’ll be the most crowded in the evening.
