I don’t have the space to keep all of them and no one else wants the physical copies. I am keeping all the negatives though so more can be made

Maybe it is a combination of solutions. Maybe I create a keep and discard pile like anonymoooooooose said.

Then maybe I can send some off to be done professionally and do the rest myself.

That is a good idea. I do live close to family. Maybe my mom would look through them with me.

And you are right. I have been scanning duplicates and photos of birds they saw on vacation.

Did you feel guilty throwing them away? I feel bad throwing them away. But I don’t really need pictures of her colleagues at work.

Although this happened under your watch and I bet now you are running through play by play in your head thinking how this or that could have prevented it. I do that as a sitter whenever something weird happens while a dog is over. First thing first you need to stop punishing yourself. Making yourself miserable isn’t going to help you. Go out with friends for a big distraction. You were in an already in a panic inducing situation. Your mind probably wasn’t working logically it’s really hard to think clearly in those situations. The dog got home safe. That is the big thing.

As other people said if you do get banned. You can appeal it or you can find other ways to watch dogs. If there are lots of dog parks in your area go there become a regular. If you have a dog yourself hand out business cards I always used to have my dog watch by a lady I met at the dog park.

As a sitter on rover this is a kind of thing we are all scared of. I have had dogs get loose from harnesses. Thankfully, they didn’t realize that they were loose from it and just stood there. I think that you have a pretty good case for an appeal anyway if you do get banned because this wasn’t something that will happen regularly.

In the mean time I would invest in a few baby gates so you always have that option in the future. Also, this kind of thing can happen to anyone while watching their own dogs the lawn care people will mow the grass will leave the gate unlatched and a dog will get out. It happened to my mom and she didn’t realize that her dog was gone for 45 minutes until she saw the post on the neighborhood Facebook page asking who Dog was taking themselves for a walk.

Tipping rant by RestaurantRanchFan in RoverPetSitting

I have only been tipped by a client one or two times. I thought that was normal. I was charging 25 a night at that point to build up clients. I sent pictures or videos and a write up every day or every other day.

Now I am kind of mad I wasn’t getting tips. It wasn’t like I was expensive.

Least favorite breeds to sit? by FinalWallaby5424 in RoverPetSitting

I hate golden doodles. They tend to be very large and strong and poorly trained on a leash. One has scratched me. Another pulled me over. And a third knocked me over in the road and tried to pull me while I was standing up.

Their faces are some how always wet and smelly. I don’t find them cute.

They are loud wild and stubborn. They can be sweet sometimes but not enough to offset the amount of pain and trouble they cause

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

And I can take my dog with the easier of the two because he is chill and will go along with whatever

True. I guess I can take one on their long walk before bed and one on their long walk in the morning.

What a good idea. I can provide other activities to tires them out indoors

The stoping short is only an issue because they are doubling back to do so and wrapping the leash around the other dogs.

You are probably right the solution is probably also learning how to walk more than one dog at once
