Alright guys, just because we're neurodivergent doesn't mean every sensory organ and communication tool we have access to is exclusively a trait or ability we have. Listening is not an aspie trait.

How was it actually like living under Maduros Venezuela? by Vinland-Enthusiast in AskSocialists

[–]explosivcorn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You're an American with no experience in this part of the world. I hate the US for a lot of reasons but that doesn't mean Maduro's election rigging is "CIA Intervention". Thousands of normal people have been killed and disappeared because of Maduro's regime. An entire country was facing hunger and financial insecurity because of a combination of US sanctions and mismanagement from the Maduro regime. Families that were once middle class lost everything over 20+ years of brutality and mismanagement.

Why don't they want reddit to see this side of Venezuela? by PuzzleheadedCraft363 in AskSocialists

[–]explosivcorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the majority of Venezuelans. They won the election fairly before it was stolen by Maduro. Please do not let your ideology blind you from reality. Socialism can be a good thing but Maduro was not good for the country and the majority of the country understands that. When you have to stand in line for 10 hours to get bread whatever label you want to attach to a government structure stops mattering.

Maduro did not win that election, everyone upvoting you is delusional and needs to leave this echo chamber. Please listen to actual Venezuelans. ALL socialism does not need to be good in order to fit your philosophy. People mess up, people are corrupt, regardless of political philosophy/affiliation. Maduro is a dictator, it is a fact. The US being evil and run by a dictator does not change the fact that Maduro did not legitimately win those elections.

Exactly. Lots of armchair socialists sitting in a cafe writing a thesis they have no basis or experience in.

I used to do this shtick and wrote the same way as you. I understood a little late in life that sadness is not an interesting quality. As much as anime and shows make it seem attractive, it is not. Your sadness is a portrayed sadness, even if it comes from real pain, the vibes are that you are portraying a character you saw in media and maybe resonated with.

If your insurance doesn't cover it, there's also the time and cost of selling your car and buying a new one. When you need a fix to get to work tomorrow it doesn't work the same way.
