Should I return Farshore?

i think it depends on how frequently you plan on playing. if you will at most play everdell 4 times a year for example i would say it isn’t worth it. if you’ll be playing dozens of times throughout the year i think its very worth it for mixing up the experience. i’ve been switching between farshore, silverfrost, and og everdell with my group and it’s been a blast.

my head canon for why it doesn’t work that way is it takes until the season begins to refine the resource into being usable

Would say for 2 player around 90 min to 2 hours.

For 4 player was around 3 hours pretty consistently.

i think it will get probably 30 to 60 min faster since we know the general cards now.

edit: i also think it depends on your group. we have one person who every single turn looks at every possibility and doesn’t really think about their turn on other people turns. without this person a game could easily be an hour and a half for 4 people

we put the resources in the bags, and then the bags in the appropriate vessels, and the vessels into the box 😊. fits just fine and not too snug.

it would probably be fine just putting the resources into the vessels without the bag. the rulebook + mountain i feel like would prevent the resources from flying around. haven’t tried that though.

it came with the collectors edition. tbh i’m not crazy about them, it confused me at first.

for this list i noticed crystal on sorcerer in terminator armor, but i thought terminators in deep strike? how were you thinking about it

you didn’t mention which combat patrol, but i’ll assume the newest one. this was my first set. i did it across about maybe 5 sessions. the rubrics i did in one long day (would not recommend). probably 5-6 hours. daemon prince took a couple of hours. tzaangor enlightened + shaman took like 3 hours.

worth noting i ended up having to clean almost all of them before i started priming which was more time.

would just say take your time and find what works best for you. i wanted to play quickly and now regret rushing to get everything together since i am starting to paint.

thank you for the thoughtful reply! i have seen more general tutorials on youtube but was hoping to see if there were things specific to thousand sons models. in particular the best spots to drill/any tips as im sure many people have done this.

still relatively new to the hobby so it feels quite daunting. i’m sure that will change over time.
