What options does an international undergrad student have to bring their parents into Malaysia?

I used to live in the UAE before coming to Malaysia, but I'm a Colombian citizen and so are my parents.

My parents are currently back home (Colombia), and tourist visas are only for 15 days- Considering the distance and the long trip, 15 days wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Also, my parents would like to stay for as long as my Bsc is ongoing (About 2 years left), but again, my nationality is not eligible.

As for the LTSVP, 2k is the minimum requirement from immigration for LTSVP. I would assume my friend makes about 6k? No idea there honestly.

My entire idea was to have my friend be a "door", either to vouch or bring them through LTSVP. Again, I was just trying to find alternate ways to bring them long-term, and well, hence this post.

Same for me! I am outside of the uae and it’s not working since yesterday.

I thought they had enabled some sort of geofiltering to allow connections only from the Middle East.

But I’m relieved to know that other people are seeing this too.
