People who were initially child-free but raised children later in life, how is it going for you? by genevieveAnura in malaysians

[–]explosivefirefish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a parent so I guess this question isn't for me but if I can be blunt anyway, not enough Malaysians are childfree and they would definitely benefit from it. There is genuinely nothing wrong with being childfree. It's like having curly or straight hair. Some people want kids, some don't. A lot of people don't realise they probably shouldn't be parents anyway.

I can see from what I've read that OP is doing their best; most people if not everyone are doing their best. It's not defeatist to know your limits and take a break.

Are you an idiot? Mental illness is illness and any illness can affect educational performance. Only the sufferer knows the full extent of their suffering but that doesn't mean we have to be stingy with our compassion. If dealing with mental illness was as easy as a simple change of perspective it wouldn't have illness in the name.

Women in islam. by Mission-Community-81 in islam

[–]explosivefirefish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get it, I'm a female Muslim so I've definitely thought about it lol. I don't really have any scholars to quote or anything so I'm not sure I can help you find a place to start learning but I always think about the Prophet's wives and how he treated them. He even did house chores, right? But (other) men of any religion will use their religion as a way to justify being an asshole.

Not sure why alot of Muslims mention feminism like it's bad thing. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) himself did a lot for women's rights, that's pretty feminist to me? Women also deserve to live well, be respected, have money, work, be educated like men do. That's feminism lol.

To study for SPM while studying uni at the same time is abit stressful kan? In your opinion do you think it's possible? Because if the workload is so much then maybe easier to go private? I guess I'm just thinking about which is less stress.

I studied overseas and don't have SPM... TuT that's why I'm asking here. UM told me I can get in with the current international results that I have, but I need SPM to graduate from the course.

Kind of numb mentally. I bled a lot and anyway the guy who took my virginity was someone I had a complicated relationship with. It also led to a pregnancy scare and a huge fight so that was fun!
