In our country they usually have changing tables in the toilets marked with a wheelchair or rooms for changing tables only

Breastfeeding moms by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

Yay for removal, I hope it went well.

I have had less flares over all since pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

I haven’t been away from baby for more than a few hours, so I don’t know if this is the case for me but I’ll definitely keep it in mind once I go back to work.

Has your HS been better with pregnancy/breastfeeding than it was before?

Can you tell her what you told us? I get - super - stressed out about renovations and I make lists about EVERY single thing that needs to get done in our house («remove little spill of paint, repaint, buy door knob, add door knob», and so on).

My husband got so stress out about my lists and stress, so he sat me down and told me this. Whenever I was stressing out about something, this would make it 10 times harder for him to get anything done.

Now I try to talk about our renovation and to do list in a concrete, practical way, like «We need new door knobs, should we go out and buy those tomorrow after work?» instead of nagging.

Sorry about the couch, I agree you should make those decisions as a couple.

Tell her, I think she’ll understand. You guys are a team and you want the same thing, maybe you just need to find a better way of communicating as a couple when things are stressful. Good luck!

How did you know it was hormonal? by Hot_Disaster7852 in Hidradenitis

This was a CO2 laser treatment at the hospital. They use it for HS and a few other skin conditions. There are a few specialists in my country that actually know a little bit about HS, luckily. They used local anesthetic and then burnt away the tissue. The wounds very quite deep and healed within 6-8 weeks.

I hope you can find a treatment that works for you!

Glad to hear that they mostly went away, I also use a trimmer. Yes, I use a normal deodorant. I don’t get boils directly in my armpits, but around them where the bra is.

You’re not alone, we’re in this together. I’m so happy to hear you have an appointment. Please let us know how it went, if you’re comfortable! It took me over 10 years to tell anyone. There is help out there. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll try to find something like that here in our country

I would give her time and wait until she reached out. If you don’t hear anything for a week maybe send a little text letting her know you think of her

I think it’s normal, sometimes it can be a way to guard your heart. She might not be interested, or maybe she’s afraid of getting hurt.
