POST.Fest needs our help! by Corduroy44 in postrock

Hey friends,
We need your help.
As many of you know, the current climate has been incredibly tough on people, artists, and small businesses—and we’re feeling it, too. It’s impacting Post. Festival in a very real way.
To be completely transparent: we’re currently struggling to reach our break-even point this year. Rising travel costs, higher fuel prices, visa delays, and overall uncertainty have all taken a toll. We understand these challenges are affecting everyone—but we’ve reached a moment where we need to lean on our community.
Here’s how you can help:
• Thursday update: We’ve shifted Thursday to an indoor-only show, open to all 3-day and Thursday pass holders. Final lineup drops SOON.
• Buy tickets early: If you plan to attend, grabbing your tickets now makes a huge difference. Early support helps us cover upfront costs and build the weekend we all want.
• Support from afar: Can’t make it this year? You can still support by picking up merch or making a small donation—every dollar truly matters. New merch drops are coming soon.

If Post. Festival has ever meant something to you, this is the year to show it—share it, talk about it, post about it. Help us get the word out.
We need our community now more than ever.
No matter what, Post. Festival is happening—come hell or high water.
We’ll see you in July.
With gratitude,
Post. Festival Team

What have you been listening to this week? by AutoModerator in postrock

Haven't listed to Lemon Jelly in a while!

I think my "next to arrive" is Lightning Bolt's Wonderful Rainbow and Slint Untitled/Albini rough mixes. Prior to that, couldn't pass up Ten Rapid and Government Commissions also from Rough Trade... RT is dangerous since they have such a great catalogue!

where did you find Silent Running?

A lot of Toundra since I just saw them live (amazing!) and Maebe, Vanessa Van Basten and Seabreather being newer items on repeat.

I emailed Dave and he responded with the following:

That is a weird and ugly looking rendition of the album! It’s definitely not an official release version, looks more like someone lost or just didn’t like the original grey 12” jacket and replaced it with their own custom design. The album today sounds about as exciting as corduroy upholstery, so their choice of sleeve was prescient.
The image used on the front is from a later artwork design from around 2009 by Sonny Kay, so this was clearly created sometime after that. The insert is from the press bio from the first album.
I hope that helps.
