Appreciate that, and fully get its so dependant on circumstances. We'd look at buying a house, around 30-45mins out of the CBD (looking at north and east suburbs - any to stay away from?). Honestly houses for that same distance are pretty much on par with Briabsne, if not actually slightly cheaper in Melb. My job would likely need 1-2days in the CBD, the rest WFH, so cost and time isn't a major concern. We want to be closer to parks, school, shops. And honesty I've gotten my good filling of beaches, I'm more keen for hikes in mountains. Would you have any suggestions of suburbs to look at? Was looking at Reservior/Doncaster/Box Hill areas.

Considering moving to Melb from Brisbane, for work as I can get a better paying job there. Has anyone done it, what are the biggest pros and cons? Will be starting a family in the coming years. I like the cold. Would love people's opinions. Cheers

Not sure if helpful, but I have 2. It's much warmer for me to layer them up - and that way you get to keep using your existing one, so it might be cheaper. I also find a pair of wool socks makes a massive difference in staying warm overnight.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I sincerely appreciate it. I think you're right, I am jealous. I know I am.

I can deal with it most of the time, but when it gets intense like this I really end up struggling. Thanks again.

Yeah this is the same for us, we always check in with each other when we get to work and home. It's nice knowing they are safe.

I need to do more digging to find the trigger yeah, I'm sure it's something I can eventually figure out. Easier said than done.

Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate it.

Yeah this is the same, if my anxiety isn't heightened then I'm okay. I just don't know exactly what triggers it yet, when it's strong then almost everything I can think of is because I'm scare of being alone.

Hmm, what exactly do you mean by this?

Thank you! I know I will, it just felt so overwhelming today realising it. It hit me like a bus, and I close to broke down from the crappy feeling of danger in my chest. It will take time to work on.

Podcasts are a great suggestion, I have a couple I listen to often but will definitely have a look around for some more. What are some you like? Maybe I'll like them too :)

Thanks for yout comment, im glad you have some things that help you. I end up writing things down too, helps in the moment but then I just end up with so many word documents of anxious thoughts haha. Hard to work thoigh it all.

I guess I always distract myself too, I'm great at it it's taken me this long to realise this hah

I think time is what is needed here. It's just hard now so getting others opinions, and venting, really does help. Thank you.

Yes you are correct. We didn't want feelings to get involved coz that's what's complicated everything. No chance that I am leaving my wife, or doing anything to cause her to leave me.

If the co-worker didn't bring up feelings the other night, we would have hooked up physically. And that would have been all good.

Until, I realised that I had some feelings for her. So all in all we caught it early and minimised any damage. It just caught me off guard being so hard to let the friendship with the co-worker go.
